I was in an empty parking lot and thought why not... it is amazing how much harder you can push the car and even if you go past the limit, piece of cake to correct. I LOVE THIS CAR!
I quickly turned it back on so I don't need new tires in a week...
must... show... restraint...

I had a base model for a week, and could not stand the way it broke loose so easily (wet), but deep down still liked it (dry weather)
Now I have a performance, and just turned off the VDC to drift around a wide turn, and I have to say it handled it better than I thought. I have 10" wide wheels in the rear, and it still held a good drift, and fished into 2nd.

I've got an enthusiast and during wet weather I keep my TCS on - it lets me fishtail a turn but amazingly it does kill my throttle just at the point I might lose it. . . Pretty neat stuff.
But yeah, the advantages of having these performance stoppers in place on the road outweighs the dangerous fun factor, imo. I haven't gotten the chance to track my car but in that instance I'd cut the TCS to get the best lap times (especially if it were a cone'd circuit w/ no walls
)

Then we go to the track and have some fun...
Then if it ever happens by accident, I won't get in one...
Is it just me, or does the car perform better without the VDC? eg... accelerating hard and cornering.
haha, i love it!
i went flying today and the ny state police has a headquarters at the airport...anyway right before their driveway is a 90 degree turn to the right, so i had it in first went all out, shifted into 2nd, still goin, then i see a state trooper lookin at me!! thankfully my flight school was 30 or so feet from the turn and driveway, the cop comes up to me, "i hope you dont pull stunts like that while in the air" i go "i slipped off the clutch" he laughs and says have a good flight.
but yah, this is my first RWD car and i LOVE it!

Since I dont have mine on the Touring (why did'nt they make it standard??) I never feel safe driving in heavy rain, I swear I can feel the car floating..its scary..(even when I reduce speed 50 or below)
YOu probably have the wrong size tires mounted on your car. I can turn lap times within 2 seconds with in 2 seconds of my fastest times with it on.
