Default popcharger "sound"?

Does a popcharger make your engine sound any different? I was told they make your stock motor sound a little louder maybe, or aggressive?

Yes, it sounds little different then the stock... sound like more power, but that's only after a certain rpm range... do a search and you will find more about this topic...

After about 4000rpm, the engine sounds like it has just been possessed by demons.

It will raise the hairs on the back of your neck.

Suck in air , That whoooshing sound is what you hear, Also makes the exhaust loader due to the extra air being forced out.

You'll also get a whistling sound when accelerating, or at least most of us do.

Cool, I just ordered one from Nissan Performance Parts. Do I need anything else beside the filter and the oil, like the "Z tube"?

All it is is the sound of the increased airflow going through the filter/tube and into the intake.

I just get nervous thinking I didnt connect something right. Im no novice to mechanics. But I can help but thinking that it might be leaking from somewhere when I hear that. I guess it comforting to know that you guys have heard the same thing.

By the way, how do I change the "newbie" moniker to something else?

There seriously arent any sound clips of a pop-charger? I can't wait to get mine to see if its louder than my brother's Frankencar intake on his Altima 3.5 5-Speed.

The whistle is no leak. I had K&N drop in filter in my old Acura 3.0 CL and it whistled slightly but only from the increased air flow. The Popcharger does the same to the Z but appreciably moreso...a nice sound and lets you know MUCH air is being pulled through ;-)
