allignment won't have any effect on brake dust. Dust is a product of the friction between pad and rotor.

If there is a toe in, the brakes would sitting at an sight angle. The brakes sitting at an angle would cause cause more friction and the brakes to wear faster. Right?

You're kidding right? Dude, the brake rotors, calipers, and hubs/knuckles are all bolted together in a fixed position. It's like turning your wheels...when you steer right do your brakes stay pointed straight??

I just fixed a problem on my 2004 that the dealer and Nissan could not figure out, and it looks like it may reduce the amount of brake dust buildup as well (it will not eliminate it as they dust if you use them!).

My car had an overfilled Master Cylinder from the factory which was causing brake drag as there was no room for the piston to push fluid back into the reservoir when you let off the brake.

Check your brake fluid level and bleed off any excess beyond roughly 1/2 way between the MIN and the MAX marks.

If that is not the problem, I would try different pads than factory.

its not that it sucks... well maybe partially, but a softer pad will grab better, but it also wont last as long and will yeild more dust for the same amount of use.

you could go to a harder pad and get longer life and less mess, but your brakeing power would suffer.

the dust is from the ceramic pads that ship with the stock z... ceramic pads are a decent allaround pad and a good street pad...

if you want to get rid of brake dust...

try out the nismo pads...
