Unhappy Z Stands Out Toooo Much!!!

Well I woke up this morning and on my way out i found a little surprise on my car. My car was egged, sour creamed, and keyed all at once. After nearly punching a hole into the door I took a breath and cleaned it off, but now since it had been on all night it has left huge blotches of smeary stanes, 4 huge impact creators where the eggs hit, and scratch marks all across that are now beginning to chip. So my day was just peachy. But besides that, i know one of the biggest bonuses of this car is that it just stands out from the croud. EVERY time i drive by any male pedestrian I ALWAYS get a stare as I drive away. This is cool and all, but im beginning to think this car stands out tooo much. Redline, Lemans, and the liquid aluminum seem to stand out the most. Cops set aside, i think this car is turning out to be a not soo good daily driver. If you were too vandelize one car in the lot, a bright red or orange Z will be your number one target...

iono if this sounds dumb, but i am beginning to doubt the Z in terms of a daily driver car...
wat u guys think?

Sorry to hear that.

I get lots of attention when driving my Z, I love the attention from the girls but some dudes look at me like they hate me... I try to ignore them and drive on... also get some nice comments from some guys

I always watch where to park my Z, but there is only so much you can do for your car... I wish people would just respect others property...

That sucks bro. I'd be using my insurance to get a new paint job.

People that do that kind of BS deserve to die.

If I ever caught someone hurting my Z.....

Hell if I ever caught someone hurting any car I can only imagine the result...

Although it's not the end of the world, you can get it repainted and mostly covered by insurance.

Any chance of fingerprints being lifted near the scratches? Fingerprints seem to always be a long shot, but who knows....

Good Luck with the shop!

Sorry to hear that, sure sux.
Yup, I agree that the Z does attract lots of attention, some good, and some not so good. The worst ones I found so far are men with crapy cars in front of lights who need to prove something. One interesting one was when a cop (on foot) asked if I like my car while stopped in front of the lights.

My fencing coach bought a new mini-van of some type (I dont remember) last year.

Its was nothing that would attract a lot of attention. Just a regular minivan, and within the first month of ownership some lowlife keyed it....

So it happens all over...

No matter what.. theres always going to be low-lifes out there jealous or hating you for what you have. Whether it be your house, your shirt, your friends or even just your smile.

Why let them constitute how you enjoy your life? F*ck them!
And Godspeed on your car's aesthetic recovery.

Enjoy the attention, one way or another...

I give the ladies a wave...

...and the haters a 6000rpm-clutch-drop smoke-show!

Yeah, I get the same thing. Girls look a lot, younger and older, guys either give you a sneer or a nasty look, or they go out of there way to look away.
The worst reponse is when it`s a guy with his girlfriend, and you see her looking or pointing. Then the guy seems to get really pissed.

Hi Autois,

Sorry to read what happened. My wife bought a new highlander
and a few weeks later, someone keyed the whole side. 700 dollars damage! Takes all kinds to make the world go round. I wish we could send them to another planet. Take care and I hope your Z comes out OK. ZRA.

Sorry to hear that man. My car was keyed on the passenger fender (including the side Z emblem) and door this past March. My car is LeMans and it had the car cover on at the time (a lot of forum members thing that the cover could've been the reason). I still haven't gotten it fixed ($500 ins. premium is actually more than the cost) so I don't worry about the Z as much.

I considered a cover, but decided that would be asking for trouble

Sorry to hear about your car. I sort of know how you feel. Some punks in Honda POS side swept my Z and a Corvette for the hell of it. They swept my car first and did the Vette as a bonus. I didn't see it happen but the person that did see it said that she thinks the a$$holes did it on purpose because the driver and his buddies laughed like it was some type of joke after they did my car and then did the Vette as they were leaving. Too bad, she didn't get the plate. She said that she was too scared to take the plate number.

i might just end up taking that idea hndumafia. I guess that is the bright side cause my car got pretty badly worked. The only thing is i cant think of what color. My first thought was either yellow or some candy color, but then i realized that would only end up adding more attention.

What do you guys think is a solid color other than black or white?

metallic blue? would that look good??

If I was in your predicament, auto, I'd get mine done either that lamborghini orange that someone on the board already did, or a nice lambo yellow =))

The car looks hot in both. Don't get blue for 2 reasons:

a) I have one.
b) It comes blue from the factory.

Sorry to hear about that... but they'll get theirs in the end.
As for a custom color that's not too attention getting hmm......

How about a dark navy blue of some type, kinda like the 360 Modena blue? That's a pretty nice color. Or maybe a dark metallic red like the 50th anniversary Corvette.
