Mostly in my high gears 4, 5, 6 I hear this whistling noise when I'm pressing on the gas. Once the gas is pressed a little more than 25% you don't here it anymore. Does anyone have this problem or know what it is so I can get it fixed???

 

Do you have an aftermarket intake??

 

NO I haven't installed it yet. Could it be the tranny?

 

Mine does it too. Around 60-80mph. Happened before the JWT pop charger intake and after it. I think its related to the intake plenum/throttle body. Just turn your radio up.

 

Happens to me too in 5th or 6th gear My Z is just stock. It's very loud and annoying.

I have the 5AT and I have heard it before, and after my intake installation. It starts at 72mph for me and stops after I hit close to 81mph. Just a high pitched whine. I don't worry about it but it IS there. It's not really loud, I don't think anyone else that has ridden in my Z has noticed it. I just ignore it...

 

i have the same problem except mines a little louder cuz everyone can hear it. i took it to the dealer several times and no one knows what that is. my service manager thinks it's the gear winding noise. a representative from nna thought it was the tires and told him didnt' think it was. so we switched all the tires and still had the noise. i'm going back to the dealers tomorrow.
