Looks like the Z is on top of everything but the slalom where the S2000 beats it by .5 mph. Nice!

That said, you have to notice the characteristic and virtues of the other cars.

It's obvious that the S2000 hits power in the high rev range. Look at the stats and you'll see the RX8 beats it up to about 40 then the S2000 just leaves it behind. And out of the box, the S2000 is a little bit better handling car than the Z

Then there's the RX8... I really don't like it... at all. However, as the cheapest car tested, it really delivers a lot of performance for its lower sticker price.

errrrr..........whats ur point? trying to start another S2k, rx8 and 350Z war? The S2k doesnt have as much torque but it's almost as fast as a Z and I used to own one.

 

Not his point -- it's motortrend's point. And it's that the Z absolutely crushes the s2000 and rx8 in torque figures and is why the Z can rocket off the line daily without having to rev to 6k+

Don't be that stupid, chick car?? You gotta be watching too much 2Fast 2Furious. I own both, I got compliments for the S2000 from people who know cars and compliments for the Z from people who don't know too much about cars.

 

yeah i'd be pissed at john singleton if i was an s2k owner.

 

s2k is one of the few roadsters that is far from a chick car, because it isn't overly pretty and it has great performance. so only ppl who know about cars normally buy them. as opposed to other types of roadsters like audi tt, bmw z3/4, miata, mr2, etc.

 

And yet it ONLY comes in a stick shift. Hmmmm.

 

I was afraid people would call the Z a chick car after seeing about 20 or so gurl/lady Z and G drivers in my town. You must admit though, chicks really do like the Z.

 

I cannot imagine s2000 being a chicks car. But everybody has their own opinion. I drove it for a week from my cousin, and let me tell you, it is a little rocket monster. Not as fast as the z in straight road, But it will give Z a challenge on the road coarse. This is no miata.

 

I wouldn't call the S2000 a chick's car. It is an old man's mid life crisis type car just like the Z Roadster.

 

Exactly........... I used to drive a S2k for 2 1/2 years and to be honest, the S2k feels just a lil faster than the Z and feels like it handles a LOT better than the Z.... I think it's because the S2k handles like a go kart.

I still love my Z though.. wish my Z had 3.5 VTEC engine

 

I'm 6'2". I couldn;t turn the steering wheel in the Honda. Right knee was solidly against it.
