Curbs - 2 350Z - 0
Last week was not a good one for my Z. It seems that after driving a Yukon for the past 4 years, I am having trouble adjusting to the subtle difference in vehicle height on my 350.
Boy is my wife giving me a hard time!
Any suggestions on how to "hide" these blemishes? I have a bra on order

Heh, well, touch up paint ain't going to solve that.
I'd use this as an excuse to get an aftermarket bumper or atleast a lip.
Most lips for the Z will cover up all of that damage and make the car look a whole lot better too.

I feel your pain. My Z's gonna need a new front bumper pretty soon...
I curbed my front bumper one of the first weeks of owning my Z. I just used some touch up paint for now. You can't notice it at all now unless you really get up close or you focus your eyesight really hard on that area.

It's the design of the Z. High door stills, wide fenders that makes it hard to see. This is my third Z and 4th performance car. And it is the only one I've hit curbs with. Just ordered a new set of splash guards from courtesy nissan.

well, a lip isn't going to solve that, because he is more likely to hit it since it will be a little lower (yes, i know it will hide it). I say go get some Murano springs and you'll be set, 4x4 style!

Man that sucks. In anticipation of that very problem I had a front and rear cameral installed to avoid the curb monsters. It has proven a life saver for straight in parking, unfortunately I had not counted on the vulnerablility of my rims when parrallel parking next to a raised curb. Yep, it left it's mark on my front right rim.

I also scraped the paint off the underside of the bumper...first fix involved masking and painting the bottom of the bumper satin black...wasn't too noticeable because the black was under the bottom crease. Then I hit a truck tire casing and immediately realized that black paint wasn't going to work.
The good thing about the stock front bumper is that it only costs $220--without paint and installation. I like the look of the Nismo style bumper and currently looking into one of those.

Unfortunately a body kit is out of the question for now. I don't know anyone locally who I trust to do the work and not sure what looks good on a Roadster.
I had some reservations on the front bra, but was convinced the damage that an uncovered bumper will take is worse. Plus, the Colgan bras fit rather well.
Thanks to everyone for sharing my pain!
