ack! If you could wait two weeks, I'll probably be able to give you a detailed report on my experience with Independence Nissan. So far, it has been pretty good, but my car is not scheduled to arrive until Nov 5th.

I wouldn't recomend Independence nissan if you haven't already ordered. They want 1k over msrp. Not sure if this was the case for preorders. On the flip side they have a good service department. I called superior nissan on south Blvd. the other day and they said that they aren't charging anyhting over msrp. Never dealt with them though.

Superior Nissan in Charlotte wasn't bad. They are asking MSRP at least for pre-orders, not sure about now.

If anything, you'll want to ask the dealer you go to how many people are in front of you on the waiting list. The less people in front of you, the sooner you'll get your car.

But don't pay over MSRP. There's too many dealers and too many Z's to do that.

My experience with Central Carolina Nissan in Sanford, NC so far has been positive. The GSM Chris is a Z fan. He cheerfully took my order at MSRP, placed the order September 5th, and faxed me a screen-shot showing me my order in Nissan's computer. I have an October manufacturing date with delivery estimated late November. He told me when the truck came in he would have it backed off the truck and held until I got there. He said I could drive it back to the cleanup area, hang with it while they clean it up, and go along for the PDI drive.

You can't ask for much better than that, as far as I'm concerned. Except maybe having what I want on the lot when I walked in, but that's not in the realm of reality!

Default good dealership in Nc

Southern states Nissan of Apex is pretty good i believe.
I might not be correct but they were taking deposits on 350z's because they were a only a few months old and couldnt pre-order them. THey may have 7-8 more spots left for incomming Z's due through december.

I disagree. I went to that dealership and they demanded OVER MSRP. Steve Jeon said he could get the car for me at MSRP to get me in the door, then when I got there they had a $2000 "market adjustment" they wouldn't budge on.

I had a wonderful experience with Michael Jordan's Nissan in Durham. Manager Dave Butler was the only manager on the ball east of Greensboro. I pre-ordered on Jan. 15 and took delivery Sept. 4th. He kept me informed on all information he recieved throughout the preorder process and even persists in checking in with me from time to time. I live in Wilmington and called every Nissan dealership east of Greensboro in January and Dave was the only manager who was well informed and ready to provide service. MSRP.

I called Michael Jordan's RPM Nissan (after the pre-order was closed). They told me that they were not taking any more orders, they were going to order what THEY wanted to order and buyers would have to pick off the lot, first come first served. They also said there was a $5000 "market adjustment".
