Bose Update
Here's the latest from the service department...
Nissan is aware of a problem with some of the Bose amps. They have replaced a few and have come to the conclusion that the new amp is a bonified solution to the problem. They are now in the process of assigning a part number to the new amp. As mentioned in earlier posts, November is the forecast date for the part number and associated service bulletin(assuming one is issued) to be announced.
Since a TSB has not yet been issued, some dealers may not have this info yet. I received my info from a dealer that has already installed one of the new "experimental"amps and tracked it's improvement. They have been working with Nissan's tech people that have the responsibility of finding a fix for our problem.
So, I guess all we can do for now is wait a few more weeks. When I asked for a new amp I was told that Nissan will start making them available as soon as the part number is assigned. Expect a solution that ALL dealers should have access to by November.

Thanks for the update! I have a early November delivery date. I wonder if this will be fixed in port before it is delivered to my dealer?
Whatever, I'm glad they have acknowledged the problem and have a fix. It would be good if the defective part number is posted here too...along with the new part number.

I was told by a customer service rep at Nissan (1-800-NISSAN-1) that the fix would be released ASAP. If you call them and file a report they will notify you when you can go to your dealer for the fix.

I did call Nissan...
And they opened a file for me. But...they said there had not been any owner complaints regarding the Bose radio!!!! What a bunch of lies!! And, of course, they didn't offer any type of fix either. Then, I went to the dealer and let him listen to the problem first hand. He gave me the EXACT story.
My feeling is Nissan and the service reps KNOW there IS a problem. But, they've been told to deny it until Nissan can determine the best way to deal with the fix. I think Nissan has finally worked out the fix with Bose and we should see something in the next few weeks.

the rep I spoke with today said he has had NUMEROUS complaints and he said
"Nissan officially recognizes this problem and is working with Bose to correct it"

yeah N74DV is the tail number of the plane I'm building.
Isn't finished yet but about 50% done. Hoping to have the plane done within 12-18 months.
