Default UPDATE of my 350z Problems

Well i took my car back into the dealership yesterday. And amazing enough 4 nissan engineers showed up. One that was english speaking I was called several times by NNA Customer Service and Dutch the NNA guy incharge of all the service issues at NNA regional office in Irving. ALSO the management of the dealership have been very helpful and taking steps to make things right.

The service with NNA at the helm has been GREAT so far.

Here is the list of main Issues:

1.throttle sensor causeing cpu to reboot due to failure

2. grinding of the 2nd and 3rd gears at high RPM

3 clutch pressure too low causing misshifts and grinding.

Solutions

The throttle pedal sensor was replaced....FIXED ---(i hope)

The transmission was removed and taken to califoria for inspection. Solution = I got a new transmission coming for my Z in a couple of days.

Clutch pressure and clutch plate was below specs and raised to the correct measurements that will allow the gates to be opened at high rpm without grinding gears and misshifting. Solution=clutch plate refit and set to normal measurements.

Looks like Nissan is taking charge and handling my Z issues so that it will be like new trouble free.

SO FAR for my inconvience.

Rental car---chevy malibu

Security plus gold perferred 100,000mile 84 month warranty with no deductible.

I'll let you guys know more when I pick up my car hopefully by the weekend or next week.

LOL my car has no tranny in it at the dealership so its not going anywhere.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Good to see Nissan taking care of you. Hope you get more than just the warranty out of them.....

That's good news to hear that Nissan stepped in to take care of the problem. I'll bet your dealer is nervous about the actions taken by his/her crew. However, a Chevy Malibu???? I would have that a Chevy Corvette might have been a more appropriate option - oh well.

That sounds terrific. I'm sorry about the probs you're having, but its so nice to hear about a manufacturer taking care of an owner like that. The extended warranty is a huge plus, IMO. Good luck with the fixes. Please let us know about the tranny.

Glad to hear that you're finally getting taken care of. Your initial post about everything that happened made me decide to avoid Bankston Nissan Lewisville's Service Dept. like the plague.

So Abyss, did they say if these were issues they think we pop-up on other vehicles, including the clutch components being under specs?

Ofcourse, the obvious reason to be concerned is that we all might be in the same boat at some point (fingers crossed), however the other is that I know I'm 10 digits off of your VIN#. My worry is that it it could be a production line issue or something like that.

I do have some issues on the griding, but still not sure if its the cars fault or driver error!

Sorry about your troubles and good luck!

aggie go check it out....If its grinding then my guess is that your clutch plate isnt up to spec either....go do it before you have to have them put a new tranny in....this has takin about a month to get me to this point so don't wait to long or they might think you ragged the crap out of it yourself and void your tranny warranty. (that happend to a friend on a different car.)

I should have added it before I had my admin controls taken away.....Sorry but i thought that if I had permission to add the forum i wouldn't get it taken away....I asked tako and never heard a reply, now i dont have my admin controls...thats all I know...

I think it is a good idea...and useful...just wish I would have thought of it or it was requested before the site changed hands.

Maybe the new admins will read this and add it OR if you guys contact em and request it.
