Default Dealer left oil cap off

After oil change, just glad I only went across the street to check the dipstick like I always do after an oil change or I would have had a real mess.
anybody out there have any luck with another dealer in westchester? This happend at White Plains Nissan.
After my 1st oil change I had so many finger prints on the whole car i couldnt believe it. This is only the 2nd trip to the dealer and both were oil changes, I could not imagine getting real work done!!

Yup! Unfortunately the Dealers in NY and probably everywhere else don't give 2 shitz about any car that is not their's. But one thing I do notice is that they service new cars very carefully. Probably because they have to answer to thier boss if something is scratched messed up.

Typical minimum wage employees at Dealer prices. Best bet is to do them yourself.

I bought the "lifetime oil change" service when I got my Z. BIG MISTAKE.

My first oil change with them threw an SES light.

Somehow my plenum worked it's way loose....it took forever to figure out was wrong...and they we're getting all pissed about me having aftermarket stuff on my car. Stupid. I told them when I brought it in, there was no SES light, so they had better make sure I drive it out that way.

Anyhow, it was like $150 or something...and now I'm considering not going back. They treat your car like crap and probably put crappy oil in it anyhow. Might as well do it myself.

Those charges are refundable, however they Pro-Rate it, you will get most of it back. Contact your Finance Dept at your dealer, they can hopefully help you cancel this.

Really?? I had no idea...that is very good news.

They starting throwing me SERIOUS attitude. This one old guy started mumbling about all this "crap" (yes, that's the word he said) on my car and how this is why people shouldn't mod their cars...

I told them that it definitely wasn't crap and that the car worked fine for 2 months right up until I brought it to their "crappy" dealership.

My blood was boiling. I thought I was going to have to thrown down 50's style with this old man.

Most likely the young mechanics were messing with my engine bay checking everthing....or they loosened a couple bolts to be d!cks.

Yonker Nissan in Renton.

I bought the Z there after seeing while having lunch meetings at The Keg. They had a "blowout" price on it...

I take it up to Cambell Nelson in Lynwood now...which is a big PITA since I live in New Castle.

But the guys up there are great. Replaced my front tires no questions asked for the feathering thing.

The Nissan dealership in downtown Seattle sucks too. They told me my tires were fine. Then scratched my rims when I bought locking lugs. A-holes. So 2 of the 3 dealerships in the area suck. Know of any others besides tacoma?

After all the stories I've heard of people visiting dealerships for oil changes and after the third time (or so...) noticing that nothing underneath the car has even been touched (never performed one oil change), I started doing them myself. Since my mom's car is a 2003 Maxima, I took that off her shoulders as well.

It's kind of fun laying underneath the car 5 inches away from the bottom knowing that if the jack stands are placed incorrectly you won't even have time to scream. Seriously though, it's kind of a bonding experience (with the car) really.

Only time I go to a dealer or give my Z up for service is if it is absolutely neccessary and I can't fix it myself. Even then I always deal with one person I know I can trust as much as possible. Most of those guys/gals don't know the first thing about our cars, or any territory outside of their usual dealings.
