On the 04 models all those problems have been unheard of. Only problem I keep hearing about is the lesser quality infiniti paint, rocks keep chipping the front bumper.

Maybe you just had one bad car?

Oh BTW mine was a coupe

MY 2004.5 - $26.5 k for a Base model, with aero kit, mud guards, aluminum kick plates and mats. I traded in my S2000. So far, I really like the car. It has a couple of quirks, such as a the clutch making a "popping noise" when it is cold. Other than that, it is solid.

I had a tough time getting a good deal for an Enthusiast model. The tourings were sitting on every lot I went to but no Enthusiasts at all. Every time I saw one come up on the inventory listing on nissanusa I'd check the dealer to find it was sold. I ended up paying $1200 or so lower than MSRP for the exact car I wanted which was coming in a week later. As promised 9 days later the car came in and I picked it up. I think I could have gotten a better deal if I had been willing to buy one that was sitting on a lot.

There are 2 PPW and 2 Redlines tourings sitting on the lot that I pass every day going to work that haven't moved in several weeks. I really wanted black or silverstone and it had to be an enthusiast. If you happen to like one that is sitting on the lot I am sure you can get a better deal. Good luck.

I was just quoted MSRP for a Base! I'm trying to find an 04 DB Enthusiast for less than that. Isn't it August of the second model year? WTF?
