my cousin is a bmw owner, its a constant war. all his friends have german cars, and all mine have japanese cars. they all are cool and have vws and audis, but hes got a bmw and hes pompous as ****.
seriously i love bmws, but there are ALOT out there that are full of themselves..

someone should post that video fo the supercharged z beating the crap out of the m3 and the z w/ boltons pulling on the m3 at the track.

another good fact is the topgear track where the z runs the same times around the track as the m3. same goes with the road adn track article where the z is faster then the porsche targa and the m3 in the twisites.

we have numerious car of the year awards, engine of the year awards, but how aboutthe fact that the z4 which costs almost 10k more then the z roadster cant compete with the z in performance or looks. I believe it traps 5mph slower then the z.

and wtf about nissan overrating their power? thats mazda, ****ing idiots. OUr power is right but our gearings isnt that aggressive.

also mpg....what does the m3 get again..realistically? 10mpg?

 

Well If Its any consolation guy's I burnt a Z3 two night's ago we were both at the lights.he was reving his motor and I just gave him that james bond kind of smile and said good night barney and left him there.He was definaltly red lineing it before he changed gear.......Man the most fun you can have with your clothes on...........Eazzzzzzzzzzy.

Beemers are nice cars, but def not a better car than the Z. Not saying that because I own a Z. Saying that because of the facts. Yes the M3s has a slight (and I emphasize "slight") edge performance wise over the Z. But at about 3/5 the price of an M3, and has better looks......I'll take the Z. I weighed the 2 cars carefully when I was shopping. Could have gotten either one, but I chose the Z.

And for icing on the cake. I've recently did 2 track days at the Streets of Willow in Southern California. This guy in a M3 was very obnoxious and arrogant. He kept holding me up and would not let me pass. So instead of letting me pass, he would pull off the track and come back on later. I'm guessing he did this, so that he won't have to admit that he was passed by a Z. What a pompous *****. I over heard him bragging about putting in to the M3 about $6000 worth of mods. I felt like going up to him and say...."that's impressive, but maybe if you put in another $6k of mods...you wouldn't be holding up my stock Z" On the second day he got kicked off the track for being stupid.

There was another M3. This guy was cool. He knew how to drive. His M3 was also modded. He would gain on me a bit on the straights, but on the twisties we would be comparable with each other. I didn't mind getting passed by him, cuz he knew what he was doing and wasn't a pompous ***** with more money than skills.

Final note. There was an Audi S4 there. Damn that's a quick car, and handles nicely too. That turbo 6 is amazing. But then the price is also amazing.

It's not what you drive people (to an extent), it's how you drive it.

infinitig20... ac uses more hp than a 330 (225) and 325 (184) have? right... so if a 350z uses 225 hp for the ac.. then it is left with 62hp. wow. really? never knew.

anyways, i am still a feelow 330i owner as well as a 350z owner. IMO, the 330 is a far superior car. the 350z does have speed. but just bc a car has speed does NOT mean it is overall a better car. some might say the 350z also has better looks. but the true fact is the cars are in different categories and sohuld not be compared. when was the last time you saw a 350z 330i road test? if the 330 came with a 287hp 3.5l engine i would definitely be driving that instead of a 350z. however.. it doesnt.. and thats why there is an m3. but i simply just cant afford the insurance on a m3. i must admit. some of those e46fanatics are pure ignorant SOBs. i am a member there with over 3k posts. i have seen all types come and go. but it's pretty stupid to see you guys get hyped up over nothing. you shouldn't let thta stuff get to you, or you are in store for a world of disappointment.
