Official 2005 350Z Changes
Okay, not really official.
Just received my monthly Car & Driver, and it says:
"Unchanged, Maxima, Sentra, Armada, Murano, Quest, Titan, and finally 350Z.
Anyone know the HP in the Altima SER?
Whats so beefy about it?
Also, FYI, Nissan passed Honda last year in sells
Sorry if this is a repost.

there's another forum, titles "confirmed changes for 2005" or something like that... I started it... It cites the nissannews.com article which lists the specific changes for the '05 Z and '05 G35.
G35 does in fact get 18 more hp on the coupe 6MT, and the 6MT sedan even gets it too!!
the Z has changes like... Tire pressure monitoring is standard now on all models, as is heated mirrors, the drivers seat is now adjustable for front and rear lift, and also yellow.
on wed (9/8/05) they announced pricing, the yellow is going to be $500 msrp more.
Also...
Altima SE-R has 260hp, 12.something inch rotors, sport suspension, and a lot of other "sport" stuff... here is altima SE-R pricing and some specs...

I just took delivery of my '05 Roadster yesterday. I can verify that there are no changes. An '05 coupe was delivered at the same time and again there were no changes. I did not notice the front/rear seat lifter on the coupe (I have the ventilated seats) but I wasn't really looking either.
Was there a power outlet on the dashboard (below the pop-out cupholder) before? If not, there is one now. I know it's been a bone of contention that the main outlet is behind the center console, making plugging in a radar detector tricky.

Power outlet was standard on all 04's.
I'm thinking you have an 04, you might want to double check though.
If you have an 05, you should have heated mirrors, and TPS. Do you have those features?

I would be embarrassed not knowing my job any better than that.

I think you have an '04 as well. I called my local dealer and inquired as to what '05 models they had coming in first. A sales person told me they had a '05 enthusiast on the lot. I told her I didn't think it was possible, check it out, and call me back. She calls me the next day to say it is a '04 and they won't have the '05's until late October. Dealerships/salesmen have no clue!

I had the feeling you might all think mine is an '04. It is, in fact, an '05 complete with Tire Pressure monitor (see photo) and heated mirrors. There is an '04 that has been sitting in the showroom for a couple of weeks and I passed on it not only because it didn't have the ventilated seats but also because it's an '04. The VIN and insurance docs (we have Provincial insurance, not private) all confirm the 2005 status.
I'm in Canada and it would seem that our '05 shipments came first.

What color did you get and can you post multiple pics please.
Please list whats different between the 04 and 05, thanks.
I believe you are the first person on this board to own an 05 roadster, congrats!

wow congrats on the 05. Not sure how I feel about that yelow though. It is the Sentra SE-R yellow correct? So it is a non metallic yellow. Have to see it in person but probably still leaning towards PPW for my next Z.

The pix mallman posted show that it's actually a metallic yellow, and I have to say, it looks very, very nice. I have yet to see one in person, but it should be even better than mallman's pix. I'm fantasizing idly about getting one and slapping a license plate on it reading "YLWPWR".
