does anyone know of any dealers in southern california who are selling at msrp, or when these insane dealers might actually start doing so. Im prepared to wait until january to get the car, figuring that by then maybe so early production glitches will be worked out, but i wont pay over msrp for any car, and would even hate to pay msrp. im interested in the enthusiast model. thanks guys

"enthusiast" ooh! "silverstone"... so close!! "automatic"... d'oh! I can't seem to get 3/3 anywhere.
Anyway, I ordered from Corona, and they seemed pretty honest, since they offered me MSRP on a Touring (that I would have had by now!), and took an order in Sept. for an Enthusiast with a Dec./Nov. delivery also at MSRP. And I've never seen anyone post anything bad about them.
I've heard or experienced things I don't like about Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Buena Park, and Irvine. They were either backed up for months or adding thousands of dollars for junk nobody would want.

Oh yeah, and Torrance had MSRP too, but would have had a January delivery back in Sept.
BTW, I'm on several waiting lists around here, and I mostly get offers for tourings and automatics, and only 1 base and 1 track so far.

LB and HB weren't too bad. It's just that back in September, they had all their allocations filled until February or March. Both dealerships told me I'd never be able to get a car this year, which I think was stretching the truth in order to prevent me from shopping around. LB even called me about a cancellation last week, but I didn't pursue it since it was an automatic.
I really had a problem with Buena Park though. They told me MSRP, and when I drove down there (25 mins each way) and waited 30 mins for a salesperson, it was MSRP with over $3000-5000 of extra garbage (paint-protection, wheels, lojack, etc.). And they insisted upon adding it to every cancelled pre-order this year even if I didn't want it. That was several emails and hours of my time wasted. And while I was waiting they showed the Z on the floor to lots of people without even hinting that the extras are extra. And the thing was so oily inside from all the people who had sat in it, it was really sad.
From this board I know Irvine is doing something similar. On the phone they told me MSRP, but I wasn't interested since it was a 5AT. But someone here told me they're adding the worthless junk to jack it up.
I don't mind price gouging, as long as dealers are honest about it.

Superior Nissan in Mission Hills/Sepulveda
I put in an allocation order for MSRP with $1000 refundable deposit early september.
They 'claimed' a 2 month wait. I think I may get lucky around December/January.

Douglas Nissan of Orange. Dealership was awarded the Nissan Presidential award for quality. That's why I went there. Talked to their service guy, George. He seems TOP NOTCH.
Call Michael Black. 714-633-8430. Tell him you're from the Z club, and he'll treat you especially well.

I can vouch for the integrity of Joe Sartor, inventory manager or Empire Nissan in Ontario California. I just picked up my preorder yesterday. No BS, ever. He didn't try to sell me anything extra, either. I got mine at MSRP, but I ordered in June. Worth a call, at any rate.
