Default 0-60 Times

First Post.. Post your best time. I have read that 0-60 times are best achieved by revving the engine to about 3000 RPM at launch, then rev each gear to about 5800. (1st - 3rd)
P.S. I don't have a Z yet. I ordered it on 8-7. Dealer expects it to arrive in Dec.

i've done quite a few 0-60 runs in my 5 sp auto. on average I get about 6.3 sec.

I turn off TCS, hold the brake with left foot, add some power with right foot, then launch.

I'm at 1300 ft MSL and I have been doing it with only me in the car and about 1/2 tank of fuel.

Where's your source of info regarding this technique?

How could the auto Z be the same or slower than a G35 Sedan??

i dunno... but I've done about 20 runs and averaged my time to be about 6.3

posted times and real times aren't always the same. I'd be curious to really see what the G35 does in the real world.

Did you do it with or without those 19" rims? They may slow down the times a bit...

Well, here in Honolulu, I've yet to see G35 running in the high 14's to low 15's as mentioned in Mags. I've seen most run in the mid 15's (ie: 15.5-15.6's).

My best time is 6.5 seconds.
My average seems to be around 7.1.

I've been popping the clutch and getting to
much wheel spin in first. I'm trying to get
a more "controlled" release.

I should also mention I have the touring model
with is the heaviest model. Also, this is my first
real sports car.
