Once when my dad was at a store or something, he walked out to his car and closed the door, not hard just normal, he heard a creeek...*pause*...BOOM! the window just exploded little glass pebbles everywhere in the car, this was in a lumina.

And I dropped my Eclipse off to get a kit put on and while it was in the parking lot the back hatch glass just shattered for absolutely no reason. They replaced it for free because it was in their possession. They think it was the black tint combined with the sun and the glass got too hot. That shouldn't have happened, but you never know.

And when you are next to a median, I have been hit in the side with rocks. When semis are in front of me you can watched the dust, rocks, and papers they blow against the median and they come back off the wall and hit cars. I don't think that would have anywhere near the force to shatter the window though. Unless it happens(seen it a couple times) where it is rolled over JUST right where the rock is tappered and the car in front presses it against the road and it fires out from under the tire and bounces off the median. Kinda like when in baseball when you were young you would squeeze wet sunflour seeds to fire them at the coaches son. But, you never know because it doesn't take much to shatter a window with the little ball on the top of an entenna.

it could have been somebody weed wacking the lawn and they hit a rock and it nailed ur window. That would totally have enough force to break your window.

 

I doubt that...my dad was edging the driveway and a rock flew at our front window and it barely chipped it...which is weird cuz our windows are like paper thin. A car window is much stronger than that so it would probably just bounce off.
