Everybody was very polite.

I must say though, there were several of us that had a strong urge to ramain seated in the Z, and several of us (myself included) satisfied that urge by lingering until we felt silly.

We didn't want our hosts or the Nissan guys yelling at us that we were hogging the cars!

When you look at the car you notice all the other things, like the strut brace, wide fender flares, interior, wheels, etc. Eventually you say "oh, and it has an antenna too".

Good, I'm glad to hear that!

It is all the positive posts I've been reading (yours too) that compelled me to go with my DV camera and get the videos to JmanZ ASAP so he could post them.

And JmanZ works an incredible number of hours on this stuff. Without him none of this would be possible.

I think the strut brace in a hatch area is a terrible idea. Yes I understand it stiffens the chasis a bit more. But i bet the effect is very small. And a large price to pay is storage area.
Yes I know its cool.

Life is about choices. You payz your money, you makes your choice.

It is obvious that this is a sports car. Putting in the rear brace and adding the front just underscores its true purpose. I mean really, 18" wheels? Clearly this car's form follows its function.

Those were the coolest vids. I was at work when I saw them. Everyone around me was wondering what the strange sound was. I turned around and said, the sound of my future car! It just purred. OMG, drool fest. Those were great vids. Thanks Brian and Jmanz... that was very very sweet of you guys to do that.

I strongly disagreed with your comments. With the large hatch opening above, there is practically no upper structural support for the rear struts. If there is no brace, the bottom floor pan will flex under hard cornering. This may be acceptable 30 years ago, but not now. Vehicle structural rigidity is now designed into all new car platforms. If you only use your Z for casual cruising around smooth road or pick up grocery, then it may be acceptable without the brace, for me this is a sport car, structural rididity is a must.

I dig the strut brace. It looks cool and pretty much makes it obvious that this car has one purpose, and it's not hauling groceries.

Thanks to everyone for all the recent photos and videos. It's become very clear where to go for the latest and best 350Z info on the net.

Thumbs up

VERY NICE PICS!!! Are the owners of these cars here on the board, or are these dealer/manufacturer demos?

If you don't like the rear strut you can buy the Infiniti G35S. You get storage in the 2Plus 2 seats and a trunk.

I think I will learn to love the strut every time I come out of a high speed corner.
