Yeah, I posted the same thing on stangnet.com Of coarse, they think the inverse of you guys.

Basically I am in love with the interior of the 350 but I love everything else about the Cobra. Throw on top of that: I would like this car by May. Although I can get either one around here for MSRP it's hard to settle on one now if waiting a few more months for a 2004 will be worth it. (if I even CAN wait )

I am looking at the 30K range and I am still looking since I don't know what to get.

I looked a 2001 svt cobra 320 bhp and a GT. These are muscle cars and you know you are in a muscle car. And I don't know how much you like cars. From the moment you turn the key.

Corba = pure brute power (especially the new 2003)

350Z = finess

I heard that the Z is a ton over MSRP but I am starting to look I sort of got discouraged at the beginning. Will see what happends.

Cobra is a bad *** car especially if you can throw on some different 18's and maybe lower it a tad.

I heard the 2001 cobra had a lot of problems, Id rather get the 2003 or wait for the 2004 which is rumor'd to have a new body.

2004 will have a new body this is what I heard and saw some test pics.

Well 2001 I could have got for 26K which left me room for 18's and maybe lowering of the car.

2003 is 34k + primium most likely 37.

How can the Cobra be faster than the Z while it's in the shop? There is a reason why the Mustang has one of the worst resale value of any cars made.

Actually.. Stangs and F bodies are pretty well known for being extremely reliable. You are being extremely biased...and its really sad. in this thread and the other thread, its pretty easy to see that you are very touchy about the faster vehilces....

Mustang GTs and Cobras actually hold their values quite nicely.. only the V6s lose values very quick because the market is flooded with millions of them ( Car rental agencies )

I think you should drive both, and see what you like more. If you are all about performance, the Cobra is obviously the better buy.. but the 350Z just does it for some people. The complete package is enough to make them forget about that extra horsepower and take advantage of the tight feel and great braking.. not to mention the 350Z is far from a slouch.

Pretty reliable?? I guess they really didn't just have to shut down the Cobra R assembly line for horrendous quality control. Yup, I am biased; I like my car to work.

Cobra R assembly line? What exactly is the Cobra R assembly line>? Weird they would have a line for a car that isnt made anymore..

They shut down the SVT Assembly line to replace the intercoolers.. but they are already open again. That news is very old.... I've never read of any SVT Cobras having mechanical problems.. but Im sure you will make up some new "facts" and post them..

the 350Z isnt perfect. Just from this site Ive read that you guys are having problems with your BOSE audio, and your paint orange peeling. Quality, right there!!

You make up facts and you post them like they are written law. Its pathetic and just shows your ignorance. You fail to see ANY positive in buying the Mustang Cobra, which makes you just as bad as those people who call the 350Z rice..
the very same people you hate..

I am sorry, the SVT line! Yo are right, I am pathetic and ignorant. That is why I am going to other car boards trying to justify to myself that my car is better, oh wait, that's you. Have a nice day:

Isn't this thread called "350 Z vs 2003 SVT Cobra"??? They both have their strong points dude. I had a Cobra for four years and can attest to its reliability. My parents had a Maxima at the same time and it spent more time in the shop in the first year than my stang did in four years. Also, the Cobra has one of the best resale rates of any sports car.

Anyway, I am very interested in the Z, and threads like this help give me the info I need to make up my mind since the dealers won't let you drive the Z. The bashing is immature and a put off to potential Z buyers. Please show car lovers respect, no matter what kind of car they choose. We're all enthusiasts, right?

Ford will give you head huh? I guess you must work in their "customer service" department! And once again, who cares what the car can do. What can you do??

Listen Vanilla Ice, you can keep "Rollin in your Five Point Oh." The 80's ended a long time ago, yet Ford forgot and just keeps building the same car for the same people.

At the current production rate of 40,000/year for the 350Z it will be SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS before there are 3 million Z's on the road. Something tells me there will be a model change before then.
