Manager just called, the new amps are available beginning November 1. They must be ordered by the dealer and an appointment must be made with the dealership for replacement.
If you have not filed a complaint yet, call your dealer now to get on the list.

I hear there is amp and mic problems, are these together? how would I know if I had an amp problem? I do have the touring bose, so I have that whole loud and soft thing, but what is the amp problem? or should I just call up and get it done?

is what it's being labeled that's all. The actual problem is the radio tone that keeps changing. It's like the base and treble are constantly being dialed in and out. I'm not familiar with the mike story. My friend had his amp replaced a couple of weeks ago by NNA as an attempt to determine if replacing the amp "cured" the problem. It did. I heard it myself. The only fix he got was a new amp and it solved all problems with his radio. I have also talked with a couple more owners who went through the same thing with theirs. I'm on the list awaiting mine. I hope this ends it.
ok, so what you are saying is that the amp fix corrected not only the overboosted base, but the issues that are caused by the mic (which is located under the steering column)? Or does the amp change out only fix the overboosted base?
Thx in advance!
