Default TAMIYA 350Z (56k Warning)

A lot of you probably have one already, but I just wanted to share pics of mine with all of u. This is my first attempt at car models, and I had a lot of fun doing it. Tell me what you think...

For reference, this is what I was trying to emulate... Tamiya 350Z

Hey, nice job, especially the detail work on the interior. I just finished building the same model. Painted it gun metal - a little darker than silverstone.

BTW, you forgot to paint the A pillars black

And your rear window wiper should be vertical but it looks better than mine, the only painting I did was the exterior. I have the radio controlled 1/10 model coming in the mail next week.

Great job on the model!!!! Really good for a first time. A few things you might want to add for some extra detail. Inside the exhaust tips remove the chrome plating and paint it flat black, the e-brake handle would look better if it was painted satin black. That is a good match on the color of the seats but I think it might look a little better if they hada satin finish. Other than those few minor things the model looks very clean!! GREAT JOB.

Maybe I should cut you a miniature clear bra for it.

LOL! Thats a good one Mike! I guess phreeze could always use 3M scotch tape to replicate a clear bra.....

Nice job phreeze!

Paint the B-pillar black, put a clear bra on it (lol) and you get an A+.

Actually the bras are cut from vectored files. Just punch in a dimension and it will cut an exact miniature of the full size kit. I did mean it as a joke, but I do cut mini kits to show dealers and prospective customers what the full size one looks like.

Thanks Guys!

I also want to get a new nitro R/C (HPI RS4 3) in the near future and Tamiya does make a 350Z 1/10 scale body for it already. Problem is I want to save the money for a DVD system for when I get the car... decisions, decisions...

Nice Job, Tamiya models rule.

Nice job with the paint (using spray cans too).

Wink

"Uh, Mark754, you REALLY meant the B pillar, right?"

Yep, got my pillars mixed up

BTW, has anyone bothered to paint the thin "window rubbers" black? If so, how did youu do it? I'm afraid to try it, since I'll probably botch up the paint job. Perhaps a sharpie marker would work.
