Question Please help - Performance Vs. Touring

I need some help - both cars will be at dealerships this week. However I will have to drive 6 hours to fetch. I was going for the touring because of the leather and the Bose and 6-cd in dash. Buit i have read a t lot of negative stuff about Bose. Is it worth the extra 3500? Will i be able to fix the Bose with new speakers or are they amplified individually?

I appreciate all your comments.

Thanks

If those are your ownly two concerns, leather can be added for less than $1000, and with the remaining $2500, you could install a better stereo than the Bose.

There are a few other differences between the two, and I don't know how important those are to you.

I like my touring, personally if I was to get performance, Id get enthusiast, replace the rims with something better then the stock 18" ones. and add leather myself, VDC and tire pressure monitor are over rated IMO, tho I like having them in my touring.

as for bose, its annoying, finally figured out what everyones talking about, it goes into a loop of raising its volume to overcome its own volume. then a break in the music and it comes back down to normal.

I hear a fix is on its way tho, I hope so.

Performance package kicks ***. All the go-fast stuff with none of the poofta stuff I didn't want. In my warped mind, this is the only way to buy it.

350z Enthusiast: $28,249
19" SSR GT3: $3,000
Leather: $800
Custom Stereo that actually sounds good, DVD, Nav: $4000
Tire Pressure gauge: $5
Total: $36,054

350z Touring w/Nav: $35,719

Seems pretty simple to me..

wow 3000$ for a set of 19" rims. dont ya think you should compare apples to apples? like the fact that you can get LIGHTWEIGHT 18" rims for 2000$? and then you could sell your rims and tread for 400$ atleast, maybe more.

also you have a custom system, if you go for "good" stereo vs superb it wont cost 4000$. you could do it for 2grand.

so Im not sure what your argueing, if your trying to say that the enthusiest with better stuff is only 1000$ more, Im with you. but it also appears as tho your saying the touring is a better deal since its cheaper.

gotta be sure your point is clear.

Well, ok. The $3000 for wheels figure was supposed to represent the out of pocket cost of wheels + tires - oem 17s.
(GT3s being around $2-2200 @ 19s, rubber around $1200 (because you would be getting pilot sports at at least 265/19 in the rears, and like you said, expecting around 3-400 for the stockers).

Anyway, the point was, that if you are willing to sacrifice VDC and apply the price delta between the touring and the enthusiast to upgrading the enthusiast, you will, IMO, have a vehicle which is superior to either the performance or touring.

I guess what I was REALLY saying was that the enthusiast with WAY better stuff is only $0 more than the touring....
