Good work on the caravan, Matthew! Looks like we'll have a lot of folks rolling in Thursday.

After speaking with fine folks with the Lightning, she has two bent valves. If I can get new header gaskets in this week I will have her back before this weekend, and hopefully be able to put enough break in miles back on the heads to really be able to open her up in the dragon again.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

LG... I can help you with those break-in miles... can I still recruit you to haul some ZDayZ goodies up sometime during the weekend or week before ZDayZ?

Glad to hear it was nothing too serious.

Yea... when these guys read there would be Zs on the Dragon May 20-22, they apparently thought that was a comic strip reference to someone sleeping (ZZzzzzz)... hence the name of the their event.

Luckily, there are **other** good roads near the Dragon. I'm sure our group will be able to find places to drive while the Harley (slow on the Dragon) parade is going on.

That's cool. My cousin, brother, and sister all ride Harley's so there's no hate. Nothin' against bikers, but I doubt we'll be in there way. Hopefully they have "No Hog" signs posted on some of those roads. haha.

I'm looking forward to ZDayz more than I am actually driving the Dragon.

No offense meant to any bikers, but here is the issue on the Dragon.

Most Harley riders are into cruising on their bikes. The Dragon is not a road for 'cruising' or sightseeing. People run the Dragon, they don't cruise it. The Harley riders also tend to have a "I own the road" attitude. Most people on the Dragon, if they see you are going quicker than themselves, will pull to the side and wave you buy. This is rarely the case with the Harley riders. They putter along holding up anyone and everyone behind them with only a few exceptions.

I think it's great they have their own meet going on and want to do a parade run. I think for the benefit of both their group and ours, it will be best if ZDayZ attendees try some other roads at parade time (Saturday morning 9am) unless you are just interested in parking to watch the procession of, what's sure to be, countless sweet Harleys cruising by.

No official count for Thursday. From what I've read, many are planning to arrive that evening or early on Friday tho.

Last year there was about 15 or so on Thursday. This year I predict there will be 30.

My reservations are from Thurs. - Sun. When I booked our room, I wanted to come early. But I want to cruise in a caravan, and from what I can tell, most people here are arriving on Fri.

We'll see when I end up leaving.
