The 2006 350Z will be converted to a 4 door/ All Wheel Drive platform. Nissan will change the existing 6 cyl to a 4 cylinder turbo boxer motor. It will be called the 350 ZSTI. Im putting in my pre-order today.

Given we have had three years of minor tweaks and upgrades, conventional wisdom would maintain that the Z is due for some type of light revision or performance upgrade in 06. Many vehicles get a redesign in the 4-5 year window.
Given there is a 300 hp Z on the roads now look to Nissan to leverage much/some of that across the entire Z family (base - track). Although, that would require the track getting something over and above to distinguish it from the others.
Let me be clear though: I am speculating based on lots of intangible items.

I'm glad I got mine now. I hope this means if I get tire problems, they'll take care of me, because there is clearly a problem that cannot be fixed, so they're just getting rid of the car. So sad I might sob a bit, but I'll be driving my Z again after work, so all sobs will clear up.
