LeMans Sunset
Few should really care but, for what is is worth, I have changed my order from Brickyard Enthusiast to LeMans Sunset Performance. I ordered my 350Z two weeks ago so the delivery difference is minimal (read that 6 mo. form now, probably). It took me two weeks to realize I had the guts to go with a great, bold color. It is a sports car, isn't!. Now this 54 year old body (good looking as it is) will be driving through the Seattle area in a color unknown to the folks here (this is not Miami). Sorry, 3rdpower, but there are now two of us non-conformists here and I am not "scurred" - Hope you are not either.
Way to go Rep!
I had similiar thoughts after seeing Vandy's pics. I called my Nissan sales rep (not my dealer), and he advised I had 3 days (until 6/12) to submit a color change, and not hurt my scheduled delivery (I order in March).
I was oh so tempted.
But I chickened out. Not because of the color, but because I was worried that if my order was pulled for any type of revision, it might not get back into it's proper place. I told myself that all the colors are going to look great, and better to not rock the boat.
But Le Mans Sunset - that is the color that will define this car, just like yellow defined the X-Terra.

My problem with Brickyard is not the color. I THINK that it is a rich deep color that reflects a multitude of hues. All of the images I have seen are different indicating an unbelievable depth of color. That said I realized I wanted a greater statement and that would be LeMans Sunset. You have one great color - one that will overshadow the greys, blacks and whites. Just my opinion.

Way to go rep15... and welcome to orange town.
my story...
When i first saw the car colors i thought... LeMans all the way. Then I started thinking sensible and wanted silverstone (all my friends have chrome/silver sports cars, so it had to be at least silverstone). When i figured out exactly what I wanted to order (about a week later) I called the dealer and he was busy and said he would call me back to take my order.
During the 15 min. before he called me back I started having serious doubts and decided to flip a coin.
Heads = LeMans Tails= silverstone
Before I even flipped I pretty much decided that if I got 'tails' I would do 2 out of 3. BUT Heads came up and I didnt have to go through the trouble.
So I'm getting what I wanted... and the co-workers that saw me flip the coin think I'm insane because it seemed that I made my color choice stricly on a coin toss

The way I see it is Lemans Sunset is a 'love it or hate it' color, which is one reason I choose it. Every other color on the Z are fairly conservative colors which are not the in-you-face color of Lemans Sunset.
My other choice at the time of ordering was Daytona Blue and my last 3 cars were blue so it's time to change.
Black was my 3rd color but that's only reserved for my 69 Camaro I once had and the one I will one day, hopefully soon, get to replace it.
By far the color that has won my interest the most after real photos has been the Brickyard.
I still say the true Z colors are Redline and White but I'll leave that to others to own.
Chrome Silver & Silverstone are also bad *** colors but after seeing the super vancy Chrome Silver paint on the show car at the Cleveland Auto Show the regular Chrome Silver never would have had that same place in my heart.
Nope pretty much my decision was easy, Lemans Sunset. What's more important then the color though is definitely what's on the inside.

The first color that caught my eye was the Brickyard. The problem is that I could not tell if it was a purple, burgundy or as some people posted a tint of brown. So I decided on one of 2 colors:Redline or LeMans.I would be happy with either one but I rolled the dice and went with the LeMans.I am glad I did.To me it sure stands out.
Let me guess.....
You are getting Blue. I would hope you think that it looks best. Color is a minor consideration but for $30,000 you should get the one that stokes your fire.

Yep, I reckon the Z has some awesome defining colors:
le mans, daytona, brickyard, silverstone
reminds me of the ferrari red & lambo yellow - *so* distintive they are instant classics!
PS: and the other colors are *awesome* too - there is no second best!

I ordered the lemans sunset after I saw the concept car at the Atlanta Car show. For those of you who have ordered LeMans, let me tell you that if the concept color is ANYTHING like hte production model, you have made the right choice. From the pics I've seen, it looks identical. It is just such a perfect color for the car.
I saw the production model of the silver at the Montreal car show, and in my opinion it looks very plain. The silver seems to hide the body panels, and make the car look more rounded. I dont think it is a very good color for the car. I havent seen the others, so I cant comment, but man, I'm psyched to get the Lemans performance 6sp I ordered.
ps- another great thing about the Lemans color is that this is the color of the calipers! Should look sweet through my 18" wheels!

I saw the prototype and couldn't resist... the color was too me... too loud... too... different
I have had several thoughts about switching... the Daytona Blue is by far the most enticing but I will remain the way I am... different and loud.
