What's the torque spec? Anyone know?

Will the 300HP ever make it's way into all models?

Or is it going to be like the 300Z's Turbo or non-Turbo models?

What are your sources? Not to be skeptical.. but it seems there are alot of posts from new posters with just specs - no explanation or source referenced.

****. That's big work for a little bump of power?

280hp/27g vs 300hp/36g w/reworked everything?

I'll take the first.

Maybe NNA has something up their sleeve.....hmm.
Maybe the gear ratios are changed too, and their tight-lipped.
Maybe better 0-60 or 0-100 is on it's way.

260 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm

Only the 35th and track will have the 300/260 as of now.

Thanks for the specs EnthusiastZ. I wonder how the difference feels in the driver's seat. Higher HP, lower TQ = better top end?

At our last Z Club meeting, the report from a test drive of the 300 hp model (in Japan) revealed that the car 'felt' just slightly faster. That was all. The peak power differences and the different rpm at which they are achieved between the two engines probably makes it a small difference as far as the driver's seat feel.

Hp, tq, and rpms have a certain ratio. The talk on the new revisions on the 300hp models are that yes it has increased hp and rpm but less torque. It should still be fast with the lack of torque because the word on the street is that the torque will not drop off after its peak as does the 287hp engine does. It will be more usable

The new track engine has lost 14 lbs of Peak torque, however it has higher torque levels in the upper rpm band. The standard engine produces 243.1 pounds of torque at 6200 rpms, while the track/annv. engine is producing 246.2 pounds of torque at 6400 rpms.
