Everyone talks as if 2008 will be the model year change. I tend to agree with that since most Nissans are on a 4 year cycle. I guess they could extend it one more year to 2009, but I doubt that since the Z really came out in 2002 and albeit is aging gracefully, it is aging.

 

My Z will never grow old!

The Z32 had almost a 10 year run in the US. Maybe the Z33 will have the same.

 

it doesnt matter.....the Z wont gain huge performance even if nissan redesigns it..
because of the following reason..
nissan is pulling out the GTR, they wont make a Z, a car cheaper than it, have performance comparable or close to it, otherwise, everybody will go for the Z instead of the gtr..

 

Even at 400HP the Z would not even be in the same class as the GTR.

It will be 08 and a good increase in hp and face lift just like the G35 is going through now. Nothing ground shacking but enough to make us all want a new one.

 

Autoweek shows that it will be a 2009 350z, but you should be able to buy it in Sept. 2008... The 2007 350z will get the New VQ engine which will pump out 315 HP and should give the 350z a 0-60 time of 5.0-5.2 seconds..

Im guessing the 2009 350z will have around 320-350 HP.. Possibly 380 HP if they use the Supercharger they had on the prototype Z they did earlier this year...

so it will still be a 3.5? I would think at least it would get bumped to a 3.7L or something...
