lol ..I'm inclined to go with that sentiment also, but the beauty of the Z bloodline must go on..We've enjoyed almost six years of the current body style (which still looks great IMO) and my Z car still turns heads..

I think the next Z will only compliment the existing ones......(I hope.. )

Not to worry. The 350 Z is a classic design that will hold-up for years to come. Notice how the Porsche 911 design with all of its inherent flaws (rear engine, suspension issues, etc.) lives on and on. The “old” car still looks great. Audi faces the same issue with a redesigned TT. Audi is having trouble making a new body design that looks significantly better than the original TT. And, you never hear anyone saying the 40-year-old design of a Jaguar XKE is ugly.

And, the aftermarket suppliers see older Z’s as a rich selling environment for mods. It’s a great looking car that is adaptable and receptive to mods (body kits, transmissions, engine upgrades, wheels and tires, etc.). When your Z gets old (and maybe time to replace the engine), you can select from a lot of options (turbo or supercharger) to add to the engine rebuild. Here is where the fun begins: Well, I need a new engine… What should I do? Well… you go crazy and build a unique and cool car.

I think the new G37 design looks similar to the body style of a celica several years ago....not to impressed with the sketch. i hope it looks better than the drawing.

I agree. I think the 300Z looks better now than it did then.

Yeah but would you rather have a 350 or 300? I know the 350z will still look good but if the 370z will look better then I'll feel like crap. I had a 2003 accord coupe before the Z, and when they slightly redesigned it (the back changed) I was very happy because I thought the new one looked like crap and only made mine look better. I hope the same happens here.

+1... I agree that the z33 has a classic, almost timeless shape. Like the E36 M3... I wasn't sure that the e46 looked better, it was just different.

The artsy shot:

^^ Nice. Something like a Brooks Brothers tailored suit... Looks great anytime and never goes out of "style." --Spike

I owned 300zx, and I miss it.
I bet I will feel the same even if new z comes out.

newbie question, how much power increase are we talking about when you go from 3.5 to 3.7? And would that mean that the G37 would be quicker than the 350z or would the weight difference still give the z the edge?

I'm kinda skeptical of the redesign whenever it comes. The 350 is such a beautiful and well-thought out design...I don't know if they could really top it. I mean, I want it to look amazing, because I'd almost 100% buy it...but will it really be better than the 350?

Sure it does, but that overall shape came out in 1992. Still looks nice after 15 years. Not bad. This car's a 97 so it's 10 years old....

I think the z33 will look good for a long time to come.

It's the rims on the BMW that make it look old. The body style still looks fresh.

Looks outdated IMO, way to boxy for todays design. Now, compare this M3 too the Z32 design and it will make the M3 look like crap.

imo the 350z is a beautiful design. i think it will remain the top z design similair to how the eclipse did in 97-99. but dont think im comparing the Z to an eclipse, lol
