Default No 2008 Z

What are the chances that Nissan drops the Z altogether in 2008? They already announced the Altima coupe that's going to be available with a 3.5 liter V-6. The GT-R has been announced as well. How many sports cars is Nissan going to sell? The new Infiniti G37 has been announced as well for 2008 and not even a whisper for the 2008 Z. I don't think the G37 and that new Altima share alot of styling by accident either.

But For Now The Z Is The Flagship Car. It Would Be Like Ford Not Doing A Mustang For A Year Before Coming Out With An All New One...... I Guess It's Maybe Possible But I Would Bet Against It

My Nissan reps confirmed a new Z for 2008. No pictures or details at all really yet, but they told me a completely new Z for 2008. Oh and the Quest is gonna be made in Japan again.

Lack of sales due to high prices ruined the Z in the US. I honestly don't foresee them discontinuing the Z. The Altima is geared towards a different market also it does not have the same power as the Z. The Altima's main competition is going to be the Accord Coupe.

Tell that to the 1997 USDM 300ZX...oh wait they didn't have one. The Z will come and go based on market demands and consumer trends.

They'll be back. Maybe not under the same name but in the same niche

Wrong. New Z is for 2009. The Last year for the 350z is 2008.

Okay maybe I was wrong. Last I heard it was a 2008 model. What I do know is that a new Z will not be out till 2009. 2008 is still the 350z and that is from the guy who designed the Z at our last car show 2 weeks ago.

But it does seem the magazines say its a 2008 model.

Nobody knows whats going on with the Z. It will likely be back next year, probably in similar trim to the 2007.

Well they could sell 2007s till fall of 2008 and then put out a 2009.

I cant see a redesign this fall or Jan 2008 just because I would think something more substantial than some rumors floating around on the internet would be out there. Heck the G35 is getting front pages covers and TV ads all over the place right now.

+1. As far as I know, the Z is still selling pretty well. Nissan isn't going to get rid of a popular model just for the hell of it. All I'm asking is that the next Z be turbocharged, but I know that won't happen.
