+1 on this. They progressively made the clutch like a wimpy Civic clutch every year. Heavy clutches will make a man out of you, not only that, you get better feedback.

There are a lot of great ideas in this thread, but I wonder what all of this would push the price up to????
Scary.

I agree, base model should also get the VDC. And the weight seriously needs to come down.

I never liked the door handles either, kinda tacky in my opinion. Something sleeker and more integrated me thinks.

And pretty please, TARGA TOP!!!

Oh and,
1. Auto headlights!!! WTF why doesn't the Z have this already. Add foglights while you're at it please.
2. Push start ignition!!!
3. Bluetooth capability.
where do these people come from?

they will be keeping the numbers just as they have done on the 240, 260, 280, and 300...if you dont know what a datsun is just go return your Z to wherever you got it, please

you want less weight but VDC on base and a targa top?
Auto headlights and foglights? why? who the hell needs foglights?
push start ignition? for what reason?
And if you dont like the door handles you're just an idiot, go buy a cookie cutter and stamp out your own damn car.

Do something about the seat belts jumping around if there not clipped in properly. More bass and don't put the damn sub right behind the driver. Even if it's week it's a little weird. Also the speakers in the door are to high (too much treble) make them a nice mid... i mean thats what tweaters are for.

Keep the gorgeous lines..maybe a wider track for us wide tire and wheel lovers. And make it so i can adjust the seat height under the knees..it's not high enough.

everyone's entitled to their own opinions, don't start flaming because you don't like what you hear. we're all just adding suggestions...doesn't mean they're all going to happen.

1. Less weight.

2. Equal or greater sexiness

3. Make the performance aspect equal across all trims - i.e. brakes, The trims should address the "luxury/accessibility" side of things.

1)stronger brakes-as mentioned earlier
2)better seats
3)lower stock stance
4)more torque. more torque. more torque. I don't how much I have to emphasize that. 268tq? kidding me right? at least 300+tq to match to the 300+hp
5) a hood scoop instead of a bump on the hood.

It's a sports car you know, < 3000 lbs would be nice, a better stock and priemum radio and less road noise, (why have a good radio when you can't hear it?). More cool colors, it is a sports car you know.

Do ya'll think they're try to hold down the 350/370z so as not to present a possible option to the GT-R?

But since the GT-R will have many of these high-tech amenities like 'push button', paddel shift and the like, it shouldn't cost Nissan much more to order these parts in surplus and offer it on the Z.

(or should the first sentence come last?)

A freakin glove compartment would be nice. Also let's get rid of the orange interior lighting and go with something brighter like in the Acuras. Also sliding seat belt adjustments. I have it in my Altima but not in the Z . As mentioned auto lighting too.

most of this stuff, less weight, more power, better interior, will drive the price even higher meaning that a loaded GT will be more like 50k and then it will have to compete with the M3 which said to say, it won't be able to compete with the new m3

            1. Interior rear hatch release.
            2. The plastic on the interior of the doors, refine the bulkyness of the handle and the bit where it drops to the door cubby hole, so you don't catch you shoes on the door trying to get in or out when someone has parked you in, ie, no more door skuffs ultimately. A lot of the z's I've driven have this problem.
            3. Paint or use a decent material on the black bit the wing mirrors attach too. There's very little you can do to keep this bit looking nice. Just ugly IMO.
            4. Better hand/e braking system.

I think these are practical things that I've seen a lot of people comment on over the years.

Underneath the rear brace, you will see a release for the hatch

Now as far as button by the seat.... we will have to wait to see that..

I dont mean to talk **** but who cares if they make Automatic Zs? I mean why do you care what other people drive. If you have your stick and you like it, then drive that one!
