I don't really care about interior except RATTLE~!!!! Take apart toyota's and learn from them!

How about LESS NOISY TRANSMISSION???
During my first week of owning Z, I thought my tranny was gonna explode~

Also, make Z more pure sports car (less weight, low profile)

All I ask for is:

-Forged internals from the factory

-Better paint...Nissan paint sucks, had to respray the whole front end after 1 year

-Under 3000 lbs

-Nismo should come out with a Twin-Turbo kit

-Anyone who asks for more luxurious options is gay, don't listen to them, it's a goddamn sports car.

I would like to see the car just called the Fairlady Z... Why does Nissan have to change the name of the car when they bring it to America?

"4 wheel drive" kinda negates any chance of weight savings not to mention ruins the character of a pure sports car. And hoping for the same engine every year? what's the point in that; to limit innovations in efficiency?

They are sticking with tradition. Along time ago in a galaxy far far away. Mr. K personally replaced the Fairlady Z badge on the 240Z when they hit the American shores. Nissan/Datsun America didnt think the name would go over to well here in the states.

Yeah you guys are asking for contradicting things. I mean you want a quieter tranny but better performance. You want all wheel drive but less weight. There is a reason that things turn out the way they are, they're called compromises.

- Different exhaust, the stock one sounds weak imo
- +1 on <3000. The TT is 3100, that should be the goal.
- Some options like Altima Coupe... It can't be outclassed by Altima.
- Keep it unique. I know people mistake it for a porsche, but if I hear one person mistake it for a honda or toyota, I'm selling it.
- Doesn't need to be fancy, but I'd like vented seats standard. All those windows make it into a summer oven.
- Heated seat buttons on the dash, or somewhere where we don't hit them. I never use them anyway.

BTW, nissan's website has it as the "Z" and not 350z. I honestly don't care what the badge says, as long as the car is cool.

Ive read some of the posts here and I agree with less weight, more refined drivetrain like BMW's, more power, should at least be on par with the Altima coupe interior equipmentwise etc BUT FOR GOD SAKES DONT EVER BADGE IT THE "FAIRLADY".....Leave that shyte in the past where it belongs...It was cute ONCE.....

So when it rains or when you're washing your Z, the areas at the top of the engine bay, around the hood pins, and beside the strut bar, these areas catch water, with no way to escape. A better design would alleviate any rust in these rather essential areas in the future.

Haven't seen in a 07 engine bay yet. Has this changed at all with the 07???

*weight reduction to 3000-3200 lbs. for improved performance even if some power options have to go

*increased hp (335-350) & torque (280-300)

*larger brakes

*torsen type rear axle

*suspension changes for improved handling/lowered ride and tire problems eliminated

*harder paint

In regards to the 50/50 weight distribution heres the reason why nissan chose not to implement 50/50

50/50 is held up as the ideal weight distribution for balanced handling. But Nissan engineers asked not only why, but when? Through a complex series of calculations it was determined that for a 350Z at rest – a rare thing indeed – 53 front /47 rear ratio is ideal. Why? Because once a vehicle moves, things change dramatically. When? Entering a corner in a 350Z, heavy braking sends the weight up front, improving traction. At the precise moment the driver accelerates out of the apex, the weight distribution shifts rearward and becomes an approximate 50/50 balance. This translates into excellent stability, allowing better tire contact, improved directional stability, and quicker turns.

That about sums it up for me.

In the styling dept..... a simple evolution please.
- please do not go to clear rear lights (like Altima)
- & please loose those door handles.

^ a lot of that is marketing speak... but, to a degree I agree
But mass & loading forces are two different things,
and up front mass still prefers to go in a straight line. (= understeer)
