If the 09 is a 370, I'm going to buy it. And if/when a completely new Z comes, I'll trade in and buy that too
Sorry, I should have titled the thread different. 2009=370Z, 2011 all new Z. Still it seems like a long time without a major facelift.

The new '08 G Coupe is a completely new car and not just a bump in engine displacement. If the Z goes through the same evolution it will be a completely different car in '09. It may have some similar looks like the 2nd gen G to the 1st but it's a totally new car.

^ Yeah, I just mean it will probably be similar, along with the larger engine - like the G37, new car, but still very similar. Whereas the "2011 mystery Z" could be a lot different.

I don't think that will happen. The next Z will likely be an evolution rather than revolution. I believe it's doubtful we will see a major drive train change and then a major platform and styling change a few years later. It will happen at the same time. I don't believe in any "mystery Z". Whether it's '09, '10 or '11 remains to be seen. I bet on the former.

^ I wouldn't bet on that for 2011. No manufacturer has a confirmed final body style out to the public or media 3+ years in advance of release.

I highly doubt they would change it to a 370z and keep the body model the exact same.

All those pics with 2 lines in center off hood are all wrong. Hood hump on 07/08s is there for a reason. Its needed to clear the engine. That slopping hood wont be back for a long time...
