Default new shape, new body....

does anyone know when nissan plans to change the 350z body? no matter how hot the model is, whenever they change the body it makes the previous one look dated. I just bought my Z and i'm worried sick about that happening anytime soon.

Your 350z will be outdated in a year maybe. Should have read up before you bought it. But theres always hope for you. https://my350z.com/forum/2009-370z/289570-2011-350z.html

I really doubt Nissan will keep the Z look the same until 2011. The only car that has gone that long with minor changes in recent years is the NSX.

Let's not forget the NSX died at the end of its term. Let's hope it isn't the case with the Z.

Also, here are a couple more "long-term" cars:
Porsche 911 -- it's been what, 43 years now.
The P/T Cruiser is on year 7
Heck, the last generation Sentra was on sale for 7 years

Though there is no denying it is common practice to change the car on a 4-5 year average.

Nissan could be waiting to see what the new Evo, Camaro and Challenger bring to the table before they release any next gen Z info/images. Might not be a bad thing, but it does make for a stale car in the meantime.

I agree. Also the NSX isn't really comparable being a near exotic. It was also phased out at the end....but soon to be reborn.

the 350Z looks outdated already Nissan should have a replacement soon enough, most likely in 1.5 years the new Z should be here.

True but the NSX took the cake on keeping the original style. The Z needs to change. The target market, competition class, and price range it sits in requires it to change or else people will loose interest. It's already happen to some members including myself.
