I dont see the 370z being a great success. They rushed it. They should have kept with the 07/08 350z until 2010 atleast and then release the 370z as a 2011 or 2012 model.

 

You mean they've rushed to redesign a car that's been around for over five years? Or is it that the Z is the last of the FM platform cars to be upgraded to the newer version and will likely suffer the least amount of issues? Or is it that you just don't like the design after looking at a couple leaks and photoshops? Seriously, I'm trying to figure out how this is a rush job. Nissan has been working on the new Z for years and people had been seeing the results for over a year now.

For me, the only thing that would be "rushed" would have to be the decision not to provide a near 400hp engine.

and yes, it was already known the 09's weren't coming out, when the rest of Nissan's line was out for 09, and the Z's all still said 08 on them.

 

The 370Z will be a success. I was able to talk to the chief designer for the Z and GTR, John Y at the Z Car Convention last week and was shown some cool stuff on the new car. It's going to be bad a$$.

 

Roadsters are not being released till 2010.

 

i think that nissan may only try to "rush" the 370z launch because now that the leaked info is pretty much widespread, they are worried that people will just striaght up not buy any late model Z's in an effort to hold out for the 370z. people such as myself... for example, i recently totaled my Z and i wont buy another 350z with my insurance money cuz i know the 370z will be out in a couple months... i dont blame them. in fact, the earlier the better for me

 

What type of cool stuff do you speak of?? Performance, electronics gizmos, appearance????

 

I want to trade my 03 in for a 08 when there trying to get rid of all the 350'z to bring in the 270. I'm sure they will drop to 26k for a base

 

Was shown some stuff on appearance. Was pretty much dead on with the car we've seen dressed up in camo. And was told some of the things we have been hearing regarding performance. He wouldn't elaborate too much into detail but said we won't be dissapointed. I was however given a hint to when we can expect to see the Nismo Z version of the 370 released.

 

theres no such thing as a rush design for a car...They have multiple concept artists, sculpturs, designs, working at the same time with an initial design. No doubt it was pre thought out that Nissan would at some point redesign the Z so the concept has been in progress for a good 5 years for sure...Nissan isnt looking to please a few people and spend lots of money...

 

When can we expect the nismo 370z? Lol, just tell us everything you were told, everyone is curious. If the nismo comes out in a year or so maybe i will get that instead of the base.

 

I wasn't really told anything that would change the direction of the earth. It all pretty much falls inline with what we already know. And what I did see is dead on with the recent camo spy pics of the car. So I'm not claiming to have any privileged info on what we will see next month.
As far as the new NISMO Z I can give you a hint. Look at the dates for the event on my sig below. And I will tell you that you might want to make plans to attend.
