Will 370Z cheapen 350Z Pre-Owned Market?
The interview was in June and the prices quoted were in Yen (3,700,000 to 4,700,000) which I converted to US dollars. It seems high to me but who knows...maybe it will be cheaper given the current economy.
The 370 Z has grown up in materials, price and target it seems. Looks like the 240/silvia upcoming replacement may take over the 350z's price range mission as the entry level affordable Nissan sports car???Pure speculation but it makes you think so if the price range for the 370z is indeed 37k-48k..yikes...48k will soon be used C6 Z06 territory.....Hmmmmmmmm
i find it hard to beleive that the new Z would cost that much more than the previous. I know nissan is using the Caymen as the benchmark for the 370 and i understand the price going up on it but damn that is a huge jump. That kinda takes it out of the affordable sports car enthusiast range. A new 240/silvia is no acceptable replacement to occupy the Z's current price point.
Although i would like to see the Z start to taper off in depreciation though. And i didnt think insurance was that bad on them. I only pay 1100/yr for comprehensive.

It won't be ~$1000 more than the 350Z... and sure as he!! not $37K base.
this is a little off topic but if a 370Z stays in its same price point then if/when a 240/silvia is released where will it be situated in Nissan's pricing and marketing strategy?
Will it be the car to compete against Toyota's rise in sales with the Scion TC?
