350z VS. 370z (photo comparison)
That picture of the yellow 370 aint a real 370. Its a drawing. Of course its gonna look hot. It has to appeal to people.. Personaly I like that san marino 350 the best.. The middle thing on the rear bumper of the 370 is a light. In the JDM ones the peice isn't smoke out and is actually functional. The 370 stock looks like *** on the outside.. But mod the exterior and its sick.. The interior of the 370 kills a 350.. Why hasn't anyone mentioned that?? I personally love the sleeker smoother look of a 350. More or less the 07-08 because I like the hood alot more. I don't like that curvy and over bumpy kinda look the 370 has. It's not my style. I would love the interior of it tho. I like my 350 alot more and wouldn't trade it in for a 370. I like my HR and I plan on turboing it eventually. So theres really no point. Everyone has their tastes in cars. It's w.e. Unless your tracking the car. The 350 looks lower and wider.. So w.e. People go on looks unless its being raced. The 350 can look like *** when modded. It's the same crap for both cars. I say 350 ftw. But thats me. So w.e Enjoy your damn car.
And the 370z is lower and wider than the 350z and even looks that way if you didn't know it seeing as the 370z has a smaller greenhouse (small windows) with the low roof and high belt-line. Looking wider is not even close. The flared fenders on the 370z are far more aggressive than that of the 350's.
Drawing looks like an exact match of what the 370z side profile would look like. You mentioned that the 350 is lower and wider, not true, 370z looks lower and a hell of a lot fatter in the rear, like if someone was shoving it fatty cakes non stop until that *** was enormous. Let me give you an example from another forum that portrays this greatly...

Now THAT'S a fat ***.

Now THAT'S a fat ***.
That's not fair man; if you want a fair comparison, you gotta get an advertising picture of the Nismo Z to go along with the Advertising Picture of the Sports Package Z (with the addition sporting rims).
^ yep... (370z)72.6" vs (350)71.5" - width
and the wheel wells are bigger too. modified mag said if someone wanted to try a 11" wide wheel @ +15, it would fit
they had their 370z pictured with some older NISMO rims (19" by 8.5 x 9.5 or 10) and they looked stupid, all miss matched and tucked!
the 370z is growing on me :|

[quote=Phantom Menace;6954254]...er....you do know it's a japanese car, right?
Dear Mr. Menace,
Regarding my JAPANIZED comment.
The 350Z was actually designed in the states by Ajay Panchal of Nissan Design America (San Diego, California).
Did you know that?
My comment was merely pointing out that the new 370Z has lost it's American design foundation.

Let's also not forget about the Nismo 370z. When it all boils down, the 370z is just more aggressive looking all around than the tame 350z and it makes the 350 look a little dated.
Nothing personal, but I prefer the Z33. I commend Nissan for taking a chance and going in another direction with the Z34 but it didn't pay off, IMO. From those weird catfish fangs (which I predict will go away in 2-3 years), the incongruent roofline, that ludicrous far left gauge pod, to the poor imitation Nissan Rogue-esque Rays 19" wheels, the Z34 just doesn't do it for me.
For now, I will stick with what I have below (this one isn't mine, it's just a representative picture):

Interesting thread, and it really depends on what your looking for and your prospective. I have a 03 Z (paid for and sitting in the garage that I don't drive right now cause I don't have to), so the question for me is this, is it really worth the money for a car I would barely drive anyway.
All things being said, would love the 370Z, its fresher and new. Is it worth the investment for me? Nope, I'll use that 40 grand or whatever for something else. If you currently have a 350Z, paid for, and don't have many miles on it, getting a 370Z is nothing but living in the moment. Wait on a 390Z or whatever, lol.
The 370Z doesn't have to be dogged to make the 350Z look better, they are both nice cars. I do like the 370Z more, and if I had 40 grand I wanted to throw away, I would buy one. I just don't like throwing away money. Its all about prospective and your individual situation.

I have been watching 370Z videos and looking at pictures for a while and was getting super excited about this car. The 370Z looked fresh to me and when seen in pics with a 350Z, the 350Z looked dated. I really was sold on the car.
BUT, when I parked my 350Z next to the 370Z at the dealer and saw them in person it all changed for me. The 350Z looked so smooth, I felt like I was seeing the lines in a new way. The 370Z looked tall and bulky and the lines were very exaggerated and busy. There was too much going on. The interior, although nicer, felt more enclosed. This was my first impression seeing the 370Z in person. Where I thought that photos never did the 350Z justice, I think they improve the 370Z.
I’m sure it’s a fantastic car, but I need to see the car more, in different colors, and understand the lines better.

I had just the opposite. When I saw the 370Z in person I was sold. At the car show they had a 350Z and a 370Z. The 370Z looked much better to me but there were still those who were standing about the 350Z as well, not as many but a good size number. Even at the dealer same effect. The 350Z didn't even catch my attention much. But to be fair it has been out for a long time and they are all over the place here in California, so the newness factor is not there anymore. Still, the 370Z just looks more modern and aggressive. I test drove the 370Z this weekend and it seems to me that even though it weighs about the same it seems a little more fun to drive than the 350Z.
I'm glad that the Z, new or old, can still evoke strong emotions in enthusiasts. I have owned a 1971 240Z and 1978 280Z in the past, and even though they were older at the time I owned them, I had as much fun in them as the 350Z. The 370Z will be no exception and will no doubt create more Z enthusiasts with its new styling and great performance.

I liked how it kinda stood out, kinda like when i first got my car. The Z in 03 was pretty different from anything on the road, and the same can somewhat be said about the 370. It does look really aggressive, almost to a fault....like its trying too hard to get noticed.
But if I didn't have a 350Z already, and was looking for a car, I would definitely buy one in a second.
