ha ha. I drove my 350Z for about 73,000 miles. Went by the dealer and saw a yellow 370Z. Went to the dealer at night after closing. All alone walked around the car. Impossible to resist. Bought the 370Z the next day.

if my 350 wasnt modded to all hell, a 370 would be mine now. i couldnt justify getting a 370 over a G37 coupe for my daily though just too impractical to have a 350 and a 370.

You should get that estimate in writing, I think they will tell you a different price for your Z in person.

well, i had a test drive on a 370z base touring. Car feel so good around the corners and clutch and gas pedal are different. Power wise with my mods and stuff the 370z felt the same in the straight line. Also, i thought to myself imagine the mods i done to my 350z, being done to the 370z :0). Just dont have the money to keep my 350 and get a 370 :/. Honestly it will depend if you want the 370z enough or your just happy enough with the 350z.

Well I used to sell Bimmers so alls they really did was incorporate a price knockdown on the new one + value of your 08. Unless you really want to avoid the hassle of selling yours on your own it is the way to go. Then go in with cash in hand and you can dictate how the deal goes down. I traded our old 4runner in on my Z,for two reasons...saved 500 on taxes and working 60+ hours a week right now jsut do not have the time or desire to sell it myself. It also would not have been as large a difference btn my values since it was a 2000 w/ 151k on it. On a car selling for 40k they probably have around 6-8k in mark up over invoice, not to mention they get a yearly kickback from Nissan on every car which is probably 800-1k so even if they would sell at invoice they still make money on the car. Yours is very low miles so the figure they are giving you I imagine you could get on your own + a lil and then get them to discount the new 370z. Just my two cents

KBB lists your car around 22.5 private sale and 25k retail..my guess in this market is you couled get somewhere between those to values.

350ZR does look better, IMO, than the 370ZR. They killed it by putting that shark fin on the trunk.

Agreed. Never talk about your trade-in until you negotiate the price on the new car. There are often incentives (published or non-published) that they may or may not tell you about, so want to get you that warm fuzzy feeling about your trade-in to get you into the dealership to buy a new car. I bet if you negotiated a fair price on the 370 (like $500 over invoice), they wouldn't give you much for your trade-in. Make sure you search on Edmunds for current incentives. You just missed a huge one in March, as they were almost giving cars away.
