Coming from the "poor man's perspective" here... I had a '95 240SX before my '07 350Z

I wasn't a 350 fan till after '07 with the new look and motor (and SAN MARINO BLUE) - THEN I became a fan, QUICK lol

I think the 370Z's looks have more "finesse" to them, Like it says "I'll dance around you with a flurry of jabs" while the HR 350 says "I'm gonna knock you the **** out, Period"

I wanted a 370 because of the interior, power, etc - I'm one of the few people that LIKES the looks of the Zenki Z34...but a little thing called reality set in - I can't afford a 370Z (yet) so I had to go for the next best thing, Kouki Z33.

I love the power, I like the interior, I love the color - I still turn heads...At first I thought I "settled" for an unmolested Base Model '07 cause that's what I can afford - But then I had some hands on time with a 2012 370Z and....turns out I'm not missing out on that much at all really.

tl;dr = I had to "settle" for a Kouki Z33, Found out I didn't "settle" at all! - I did damned good for under 20k and now I don't even think I'll get a 370Z.......I'll be looking ahead - But there is a damned good chance Z34 will be the last one for a bit because of sales. If the Z goes on another break then my next car will in fact be a Black Nismo 370Z lol

350Z are awesome cars and if I could have found a good one when mine was totalled I would have bought another.

Here's a picture of my old 350Z... I do have to say though 350Z's don't look right to me without a rear spoiler.

But, I'll have to disagree with you on the 370Z. It is better in just about every way as far as I am concerned.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the front shark's teeth... But, that can be fixed easily if I wanted to.

4-15-12 update - It looks like the 2013 Z will have a replacement front nose piece for me. Bolt it on and I'll have everything I want in a 2011 for a lot cheaper. No more shark's teeth.

I guess some people like a death trap more than a refined car, the new 370z

Coming from an owner of both I can honestly say the 370 is a better all around car. I still have a special place in my heart for my 350 (RIP) but after the heart break I like the 370 better. Dont get me wrong the 350 looks better. More classy.

When I bought my 370 I wasnt impressed at all. It was very dull. One of the biggest factors of that is the clutch pedal. The clutch helper spring helps too much. I took it out and adjusted the clutch to grab at a lower point and that made driving the car much much more enjoyable.

It still isnt as fun to drive as my old 350 because its still pretty much stock besides Swift springs. Other than that it is noticeably faster and more refined. I have an 09 touring sport as well.

I didnt go with another 350 because I dont think I could "replace" mine. It would have to be exactly the same which would be hard to find. I had a very clean 03 PPW with frost interior. So I bought the same car in 370 form lol.

It's a 350Z site... What did you expect?

Really though they both look good in different ways. I like the way I modified my 350Z. I didn't like the way it looked stock from the rear.

I like the way the 370Z looks from the rear and sides but, don't like the sharks teeth everyday. Some days, I think it looks unique or mean looking like a manta ray. Other days... not so much. Actually, my 370Z is nicenamed Ray after a stuffed toy my wife picked up in Monterey (One of our favorite places) and named our 350Z after.

I think I'm going to spray the sharks teeth semi-black, get the CF cover or put led's on them for a different look. Who knows? I try all sorts of different things when it comes to modifying my cars.

370z is better than the 350z in eery way mechanically. The 350z lacked twin throttle bodies which was a huge disappointment since even the 300zx had twin throttle bodies. The 350z looks classier but the back end looks real funny without a spoiler. The 370z is a much better sports car but due to insanely high pricing its sales have been minimal which is why many people cant enjoy it. Unfortunately the 370z has a major overheating issue which kills its performance but thankfully major companies have been noticing this issue and are now coming out with mods to fix it. They are both awesome cars though. lol

The 2007 and 2008 350Z's would like to have a word with you.

Maybe all you know is the 03-06 Z33, On the flip side of the coin all I know are the 07/08's and there really isn't much of a difference from them to the 370Z.

Yes i know the HR motors were equipped with twin throttle bodies but that was way too late in the 350z's production. Only 2 years of the right motor and 2 years after the first HR mototr was released came the 370z with a 3.7 twin throttle body motor. Im saying the 350z should have come from the start with twin throttle bodies.

The 370 is dog waste from a design/look aspect--and this includes the interior.
Nissan screwed the pooch on the 370z. Probably the reason sales have been very slow for the 370 and the fact that Nissan is looking to replace the Z with yet another incarnation.

They had it right with the 350 and could have continued to make small minor tweeks here and there to make it even better.

370=ugly..short, fat and dumpy in the ***. And the convertible looks like it has a J-Lo ***, ie HUGE!! ha..

So true.. and it seems the lack of 370 sales that not too many people
like the 370. Nissan hopped on the "retro" car design wave but
truly failed.. There was nothing wrong with the 350 from a look stand point.
IMO . Everyone loves and give compliments to me on my (stock)350..

what do non Z drivers say of the 370?
Just saying..

Rich

As far as low 370Z sales....I live within 45 minutes of 6 Nissan dealerships....seeing all their weekly ads in the various newspapers and for the life of me I cannot remember the last time I've seen the 370Z advertised in their ads other than the first year....it seems to me that Nissan is not really going out of there way to promote the 370Z. Even the 370Z TV commericials are gone by the way side.
