Test drove an 09 370 Touring (w/ Sport)
Traded in with 4000 miles on it. Not surprised the guy got rid of it, it isn't a terribly exciting car to drive. The syncro-rev match thingamajiggy was nice, makes you a pretty lazy driver though.
Not to create a circlejerk, but I think the 350 is more fun. If I'm buying a newer car, I'm personally stuck on the Mustang GT for the EPA smiles per mile rating.
What do you guys think? Am I missing something? Was there something wrong with the car? Or are the extra 40 horses just not doing it?

I am like you ...Not really impressed with the 370 auto trans..I test drove a 2010. I liked the extra power but I will get a 6 speed when it's time to trade up....

I've read tons of threads on this saying basically the same thing...that the 350 is just more of a raw sports car feel? That it's more fun in general...which makes sense...I guess they took all the "complaints" (subjective) and made the 370. I did see a white Nismo 370 on the road the other day...looked SICK. I think I'd rather keep the 350 forever or at least until I could afford a GTR...
anybody else test drove the 370 and felt the same?

I drove one too, and well, yeah, i don't see a need to upgrade from my '06. However... I here the Nismo is what the 370 should've been. If you can afford a Nismo 370 look into that.

I drove one about a year about a year ago but never got higher than 3rd gear. I can't say I was impressed with what I saw performance wise in difference to the 350. But...the interior, the styling, and a few other small differences were nice for sure. It was definitely quicker but I don't have an HR, so I think that's understandable. Its fair to say, it's probably not worth trading in any 350Z for a 370z unless you really want it, the differences didn't make up for the thousands more that I would have to pay. I would think that most Z33 guys would wait and see what's next for the Z before buying a Z34.

When I drove one a couple of weeks ago the interior felt bigger?
Didn't really feel like a sports car? Felt more like a luxury coupe.
I really did like all the little features and the white back light gauges.
Got on it as much as I could and never heard the exhaust like you can hear in a 350

My girlfriend just bought one a few weeks ago after driving my 350 a couple times. She likes it better but she cant tell me why, probably just because its hers. I like the car but nowhere near as much as i like mine, makes me feel like im driving something much much heavier and that should have more power than it does.

Bottom line,Nissan did their homework with the 370.They looked at the aftermarket stuff that us guys were doing to our Z'S and added them. You won't see too many full body kits, spoilers and such for the 370...maybe a front chin spoiler.Wheels?got big ones if you want.Lookin at some old pics of my silverstone/touring 03(bought it new),it looked dated.
After us guys add some 19's,carbon fiber in&out,intakes/exhaust...its OUR custom Z!
If you have the bucks to score a 370 NISMO(black),what changes do you need to make?
Its all done for you...
My 350 with mods is better than any 370 I've seen or driven.
Now,the next generation(390/400z??),they come up with a dual turbo AWD...400++
ponies,I'll probably be the first in line to write the check!

You guys are all right... this car is so ugly, so ugly most non car enthusiest cant seem to stop asking me what it is and telling me how nice it is... I would love to catch some of you at the 1/4 mile track and road courses in the metro area to show you how cruddy the 370 really is...
so ugly .....
Pre gloss black fang pic.. i liked this way better but it was flat black over the white and chipped way too much...
guys the car has a few short comings stock, but can easily be taken care of with the right mods... never was there so much Z hate between different model Zs... Everyone is entitled to there opinion though, and just because the new 5.0 mustang is a much better machine doesnt mean they bash all the 4.6s to no end... I sometimes wonder if the people like the OP in this thread even test drove one, or he just wants to start another 370 bashing...

^ I don't think anyone can really bash the 370 on here....we obviously have something in common. It just comes down to people being a little biased...some handle it better than others. If I was in the market for a Z right now, I would obviously try and buy a 370 if I could, but I was just saying that I wouldn't change from a 350 to one right now because it wouldn't be worth it.
What you've done to your car looks awesome, truth is they look great from the factory...but minor touches like you've done make it look even better. It's a great theme you have going.
