Looking at the interior, my guess is there will be a brisk aftermarket business in upgrading it. In particular, the shift **** looks so ordinary, it'd be one of the first (and easiest) items to upgrade. Who knows? If the performance of the new Z is superlative, new owners may want to upgrade much of the cabin. You can bet Nissan is already hard at work on factory options available through dealerships for this very purpose.

But ya, the aftermarket is busy - or at least the dreamers with Photoshop are. Have seen so many renderings of wide body/aero stuff, wheels, lowered suspension that all the tuner types want to be first to provide for it. For everyone who wants to be different.

I feel like it's interior is pretty bland (probably we're going for a simple look to go with the old school) I liked the 370Z interior but it got a lot of complaints for being cheap. This one I don't like at all, I'll take the interior of my GTI over that any day.

Wow, it appears they're still using the Z33 E-Brake handle. I never noticed that before. Also, did they hard-mount the main gauge cluster to the dash or does it still tilt with the steering column? I love that feature on my Z33.

Per a Nissan dealer today:
An update for everyone. This morning Nissan sent out emails to us saying reservations for the Ariya are currently in motion. This is a big deal due to the new Z being the next car to be rolled out by Nissan. As it currently stands, this isn't conformed but we should expect Z reservations to begin some time after January 3rd.

Um..."Massive 4 piston calipers with 14 inch rotors." 4 piston front rotors? 14 inch calipers? These are the upgraded brakes? Come on Nissan, this isn't a minivan, give it sports car brakes.

Six piston monoblocks with larger rotors would add too much weight to the new Z. I think the Z33 Brembos will probably do the job if there is adequate brake venting to keep temps down. Nissan is trying to keep costs in line with a low MSRP.

It's not necessarily a "low MSRP" tho, 40k is a lot of money for what this car is.
I do agree that bigger brakes aren't "needed" tho, but I do think they should have left the front GTR Brembos in the front at least.
