Embarrassing for the product specialist in Houston if she misquoted the base price. $30K would be amazing, but honestly, how many base model Zs will we see? Most new car intros focus on delivering the highest trim level models (with the highest MSRPs) first. Since I just reviewed a '22 Toyota Corolla Hybrid at $27K, it's hard to imagine Nissan putting out a TT Z at three grand more, but we see...
According to the poster it was spotted benchmarking against the 370Z Nismo, M2 Competition, and Supra.

I see the Z trying to compete with the Supra in term of overall performance but not on the luxury or ride quality side. I think they are great benchmarks to aspire to though, but there is a significant price difference between the three cars so if you're budget minded, the Z might be a really great choice for a sports car. It seems like what we all wanted back in 07 when people took their 350s to GTM to turbo them and try to get that elusive 400 whp figure.

Laff!
I remember when running "primer only" was a thing. (70s because yeah, Trav and Heel, I was alive then, snort snort.).
Never knew why that was preferred over a shiny lacquer paint job. In retrospect, guessing it was the way of saying "I spent a fortune on my kickass engine - don't mess with me - and I can't afford paint now."

Through the snow.

Here's me in 1874.
No, this is not "racist", it's "historical perspective" and/or "self deprecation".(Oddly, this pic was captioned "Manchu queue" on GoofoImages. (Or, if I posted it, "Manchu queue Foo!")
OK, back to da new Z, sorry to stupidly digress....
Apparently the upcoming Nissan Super Bowl ad doesn't live up to its original buildup: https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/202...-superbowl-ad/
To quote our friends at Japanese Nostalgic Car...
"Nissan misled us big time when they released a trailer for their upcoming Superbowl ad. The trailer promised big stunts and chases with motorcycles, helicopters, and Max Maxian Firebirds, but it wasn’t about that at all. In fact, it’s not really clear what it was about at all, except perhaps a big waste of money."
SPOILER ALERT - Do not open/view this if you're waiting for the Stupor Bowl showing.
Weak. It's more of Nissan corporate fluff ad for the Ariya... which I gave some thought to since I can't wait 6 mos (and refuse to pay the 20% over Mulroney premium) for a Mod X.
Turkey, eh? Callin' me that or recalling an offline convo? Hahaha!
