Talking Update on Feathering & Top Replacement

Although the following is repeating some of my comments in other threads, I thought a wrap-up might be beneficial to my fellow Roadster owners.

At 9500 miles my Roadster developed the infamous roaring. At the same time a seam in the back of my top started to open up. When I say "open up," I do not mean all the way through to the inside, I simply mean that a 3" section of a seam was coming apart. It was barely visible, but not a good sign.

I took my Roadster into my local Nissan dealer. It was not the dealer I purchased it from. That, I might add, was due to the fact that it is a small dealer and was unable to get the specific model I wanted...much to my chagrin. I perfer supporting local businesses. Particular in a small community like mine.

Nonetheless, I simply told them my problems and asked them to check it over and get back with me. A few hours later they called to tell me they were going to order a new top, along with a new set of tires. A few days later I had the new top, along with new tires and a front-end alignment. NO HASSLES WHATSOEVER! And that is the most important part. All of you that have experienced similar problems should not be running into any hassles.

The top seems to fit even better than the original. And we can only hope that the roaring (feathering) does not return!
