I was looking at the resale value of my ZR and all I have to say is that it has definately held it's value. I bought my car used with 5,300miles, now 7,000. Bought it for $32,000 at a dealer and now the price is....
Retail: $35,595
Private Party: $32,250
Trade Value: $29,025
Mind you, my ZR is a 04 NOT a 05!!!!
Add in my rims, exhaust, intake, skirts....
Even thought it isn't $ for $ with the extra's I would have no problem asking $34k if I was to sell it on my own. No plan's on that!!!
Compare those figures to what my dad's 04 Boxster S is worth:
I think he paid close to $60 for it???
Retail: $45,550
Private Party: $40,710
Trade: $35,970
He only has 1,500 miles on it!!

If you due a search on the luxury and sports cars like Mercedes, BMW, and Porches. Regardless they will loose more of their value for the 1-2 years. Let say you buy a $80,000.00 porche in 2 years is worth between $50,000-$60,000 that is alot in 2 years. Our roadster is not bad yet but still will loose value slowly but not as significant with other high end cars.

Consumer Rated Condition: Good
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history , the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.
Trade-In Value List Your Car For Sale Online $20,705
Trade-in Value is what consumers can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in vehicle assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than the Private Party Value because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business.
