Default Roadster Side Airbags?

GreetZ All,
So my dealer calls me up to let me know that my 2006 GT Roadster will be ordered with side air bags. I didn't know that the roadster was available with side air bags. Is this new to 2006 or do all previous models have the option? I'm all for safety in my roadster, that's why I didn't get a motorcycle.

As far as I know (in Canada anyways) they all come with side airbags - they are built right into the seat - not even an option.

My car (Japan spec, "Version T") doesn't have the side airbags. My seats are the burnt-orange ventilated leather variety. Anyways, clearly from a manufacturing point of view the airbags are optional, but I guess it depends on the market as to what options are available.

My 05 has them. I wasn't charged for an option.

OK, well that settles it, thanks guys. From what I've seen for side air bags, it didn't seem like it would be possible in a convertable.

SRS side airbags are optional on ZR Enthusiast, standard on Touring & Grand Touring.
(http://www.nissannews.com/index.html). What's wacked is that there is no mention on the window stickers that they are standard on Touring/Grand Touring, but the sides of the seats show SRS printed on the airbag compartments.

I just bought an enthusiast that had the side and curtain airbags. They are hard options to find on an enthusiast.
