Default Looking to Buy a Left over 05 Roadster

Hey Guys...Just need your opinion. I might be interested in buying a new 05 Roadster Touring. There are still several left over here in the Portland-Seattle area.

What do you think would be a great price for one?????? How much under Dealer Invoice should I be? Obviousley, they need to make me a hell of a deal or else I might as well get an 06.

Any positive comments would be welcome!

$500 belove invoice or invoice. However, you can also bargain to get 06 at same price. Why not 06?

OK....But if this is the case, why would anyone buy a 05 if they can get a 06 for the same price? Even taking into consideration Nissan's $1,000 rebate on 05's, I still would not buy one. I was thinking maybe I could steal one out the door for a couple Thou. under invoice!

The only yellow I found was an automatic. I have found just about every other color in the manual's.

I'm in the same boat, just opposite coast. Hope you don't mind me asking questions.
I found one '05 ZR touring out of state in the snowbelt area for $32k w/ rebate, manual and without Navi. The sticker price is around $37,500. So, that's around $5500 off MSRP. I already know about the $500 below invoice on all '06 at Carmax near Baltimore, MD, but they don't have any ZR.
Q1: What would be the invoice for the '05 ZR touring?
Q2: Is '06 that much better?
Q3: What's the invoice price of '06 ZR touring, manual without Navi?

Thanks,

G

Go to Kelley Blue Book web site and they will give you the various Sticker & Invoice prices. In my opinion, if the price differential is $2000 or more, I would buy an 05. But if your only going to save up to $2000 or less, I would get the 06 model.

Q1: What would be the invoice for the '05 ZR touring?
---> about 3 to 4K below the sticker price

Q2: Is '06 that much better?
---> 300hp instead of 287. New Headlight and tail light design. New interior

Q3: What's the invoice price of '06 ZR touring, manual without Navi?
---> same as #1 answer.

Get 06.

So, according to KBB.com, the '05 ZR touring manual has an invoice of $34,660. So, that's about $2660 off the invoice if I were to purchase it for $32k.
But, '06 ZR touring manual has an invoice of $35,240 and they are selling it for $36,600. So, that's $1,360 above invoice.
Difference of '05 ZR and '06 ZR at this time for me is $4,600!
So, is the new '06 really worth $4,600 more than the '05 at this time? New headlights, tail lights, slightly more hp offset by lower torque, etc?

I guess that's my $4,600 question. Too bad Carmax doesn't have any '06 ZR yet. Then it would only be off by $2,740 because Carmax sell at $500 below invoice. Then it would be worth the extra $$$ for the '06.
I was planning on trading my car in and only finance about $10k at 2.9% APR for 36 months. That came to about $290/month, very affordable. But if I wait until later, I may not get the best deals due to end of the year sale that's going on now.

Hmmm, what-to-do, what-to-do.

Thanks,

G

I have found several Yellow 05 ZR Touring 6sp in the Portland, Seattle area. One dealer in Wilsonville, Oregon has two of them. One with Nav, the other without. Ron Tonkin Nissan is the dealer name.
