Default Help with Mods

Due to my lucky parents striking it rich in the gas price era (dad works for a TX based oil company, and is getting a hefty retirement package), my parents have decided to buy me and the wife a house, Sep 06 and foot the entire bill. My dad worked for the oil field for 35+ years and has worked his *** off, its a well deserving retirement package, lets just say 7 figures+!

So now that there will be no mortgage payment, I have to think of some BS story to tell my wife in order to get new mods for the ZR.

I do not want to go F/I or Turbo, but the sky is the limit for N/A mods. Maybe Nismo ground effects, ect.

All I have now on my ZR is Volk SF Challenge's.

Any help would be appreciated. No flaming please, thanks,

My first mod will def. be a Nismo Exhaust and from there its quite blurry. Thats where the wonderful people from this site will come in handy.

1. Nismo Exhaust
2.

Both, prob engine mods first then the bodykit, depends on the wife and how much kitchen pass $ I will get, I wish they had a better selection of wings for the Roadster though.

1. Nismo CAI ($250)
2. STRUP header ($400)
3. STRUP test pipe ($150)
4. Nismo Exhaust ($900)
5. Plenum Spacer ($250)
6. Unichip ($900)

That is for your engine performance mod up. SOooooo..can you get your wife approves on it?

Speaking of wing, Central 20 is the best wing for our Roadster. Replica is available now. I'll post my review on that wing in about a week. Still waiting for Ken from Shine Auto Project ship it out for me.

Svrtech exhaust, MREV+, strup header, Popcharger, JWT S1 cams/shims, UTEC... 285ish whp maybe more right there.
Svrtech exhaust comes w/ test pipes, it has an X pipe integerated and uses Aeroturbine mufflers, no glass packing- all ceramic baby!. The integerated x pipe will prevent all rasp and drone, which nismo exhaust w/ HFC or test pipes are known for.. That setup up there is my dream NA setup! (stupid SSV....we all make bad choices when we're young).

I must say, SSV looks effin sharp, it sounds good...its just that since then, better stuff has come out.. like MREV and the upcoming setup from charles.

All of the bolts that connect the mid and upper plenum to the lower plenum.

well, just sell me your SSV and use that money to buy the Mrev Plus+

the Mrev Plus+ costs around $450. So it that the price you want to sell your SSV?

My N/A recommendation:

1) Motordyne MREV2 + 5/16" Spacer
2) K&N Panel Filter
3) 3.9 Final Drive
4) Stillen Exhaust

That's my dream setup. I don't want to cat delete and don't know how well the RT cats work. I prefer the stock intake setup to a pop or cai.

If you get good gas like 93, you should yield decent gains from those mods, and your overall drivability and noise levels should be perfect. The 3.9 FD will make your car a lot quicker.

That's the setup I would go for. I think the return on investment after that is minimal. You could do cams and ecu, maybe clutch and flywheel, but I don't know if it's worth it.
