I read somewhere that the new Roadsters/coupe Z will be shorter in wheelbase so that it will lost couple hundred pounds so that it will target/compete with the Boxster S and Z4???? are these rumors true?

I may of saw a drawing of the new roadsters with a rounder headlight shape.

No body really knows. There are tons of threads on this. We'll just have to wait to find out.

 

According to some magazines there won't be a redesign of the Z (Coupe or Roadster) until 2011 model.

Only reasoning I can see behind this is that Z sales are still strong and with the new GT-R coming out in 2009 they don't want to steal any of its thunder with a new redesigned Z.

Only a guess tho....

I believe they will be pretty quick about releasing the new Z when a new competitor actually comes out and can steal the Z,s thunder for similar money. If Dodge, Chevy, Ford, Honda,Mazda, or Toyota put something out that can do everything the Z does then Nissan will release there new Z fairly quickly. Otherwise I think they will wait only making small changes untill 2011. In a nutshell we need a direct competitor that can whip us on the street, drag strip, roadcourse with sale stealing looks to get a new Z any faster.
