Talked to someone at Courtesy Nissan and he said there will be subtle changes to the interior for 2004.Mainly the Nav. door(which I think is fine).Heard there will be no brickyard and yellow is just a rumor not reality.Who knows for sure.

My order went in on one a week ago and like you I"ve been trying to find out information about them as well. So far here is what I know.

- My dealer said that as of June when he went in to place my order the '04 Coupe is all that showed up, therefore '03 orders are closed.

- He was able to get Silverstone color. Rumor is Brickyard is gone and Liquid Silver has joined the line.

- Also rumored that the Homelink Mirror will have a digital compass on it now.

Other than that I have heard nothing else definite on changes....

I would think they'd drop the CS. the liquid silver is the color, other posters have said, that is actually in the brochure and was on the pre-production cars that raised hopes so high.

no plans on leaving Bose - I'm up in Framingham, MA - HQ for the Bose Corp - they have been testing the systems in 350Z's since the beginning of Spring...

the local nissan dealer (Marlborough Nissan) lent one of each model type to Bose in April...I'm positve because the Red Track model I had looked at was returned with an updated Bose sound system...mainly just minor tuning adjustments - as I was told.

Honestly didn't pay much attention, b/c the first thing to replace for me is the sound system anyways.

I went to a Subaru dealer today and one of the sales guys says to me straight off the bat "you got ripped off buying your Z". I asked him why and he told me that Nissan is selling a V8 version of the Z in the US already. I told him that is BS and left the dealer. One would think that Nissan would add a single or twin turbo before dropping a 4.5L V8 under the hood. Also, wouldn't an 8 skew the 53:47 weight distribution futher, while the turbo would deliver eqivalent if not more power with a smaller weight increase, thereby maintaing it handling capabilities? If we were to see any changes this dramatic in the Z, I'd guess it would be late 2004 or 2005, depending on what the competition bring out.

You just left. I would have been a jerk and asked to talk to the sales manager. I would have then proceeded to ask the sales manager if all the sales people at his/her dealership are as dumb as the guy you talked to. It's like salesman live in some other world they are so clueless most of the time.

Now that the site is fixed I'm just bumping this thread up to see if anyone else has found out more on the '04 Coupes.

Nissannews.com already has pricing and option lists for 2004 350's.

No V8's. Though, the new Titan pickup does have a V8. I am sure there is a Z running around some test track in Japan with a V8 in it.

Engineers always like to play. I doubt a V8 powered Z will see production. At least in the next few years.

Yeah, nissannews.com has the latest. It talks about the changes, and does mention the inclusion of Liquid Aluminum, but does not say anything about taking out a colour, so I dunno if that rumor about losing Brickyard is correct or not. I am willing to bet it all started because some dealer wanted to sell a Brickyard that they had on the lot to a customer real bad, so they told them they'd 'have to by soon, cause they won't make 'em next year.' Just a thought.

As far as the 4.5 V8 thing, wouldn't it then become a 450Z? Good lord.

Anyone have more info on the "New powered face door for Navigation system"?

Quote from nissannews.com

350Z Coupe

The Nissan 350Z sports car, which was introduced in August 2002, has quickly become the best-selling sports car* in the United States, selling over 32,000 units (through June 2003) since launch and resenting over 25% of the sports car segment. The stylish Z® continues to offer the powerful VQ35 V6 engine producing 287-horsepower and 274 lb-ft torque.

Enhancements to the 2004 350Z Coupe:
·New powered face door for navigation system
·Pre-wiring for satellite radio
·Addition of a driver and passenger side knee pad
·New exterior color – Liquid Aluminum (late availability)

*Ward’s sport performance segment (through June 2003)

I wonder if the navigation door will still be powered if you don't get the navigation system?

Default 2004 Options are lacking

So I have been admiring the new Z, but I am holding off for a major enhancement... t-tops! I refuse to buy a car with not even a damn sunroof. My guess is that Nissan is not adding t-tops because the chassis cannot support it. Name a Z model that did not have t-tops. Any insights?

I'm waiting for my 04' Track and not a convertible is that I want it to be rigid... coupe offers the best, without the sunroof will be even better.... the Z will be my first car without a sunroof though

Any idea when they stopped making '03's? I put my order in 5/30, and am curious if I'm getting an '04 or '03...
