Default Are You Running HFC or TP?

Trying to gather info on high-flow cats and test pipes for our ZR. I read in another thread that the undercarraige body is different from coupes. In addtion, there are fitment problems....because the manufacturer's jigs are set-up for the coupe pipes.

If you are running HFCs or TPs on your ZR, please share with me the brand and type(HFC or TP). Also, any info on fitment would apprciated.

Several days ago, I hit a large rock on Pacific Coast Highway, near Malibu. It was soon after it drizzled. The rock placed a dent, abot 1/2 the size of a baseball. I suspect it damage the internals of the cat. Will likely need to be replaced.

I have Berk Test Pipes right now and fitment was great. I'm moving to Berk HFC's and will be installing them on Tuesday. So I'll give you an update on that once I finish.

Well didn't really have a choice. My current test pipes cracked. There's a thread in the intake/exhaust section about it. Berk (being the great company that they are) issued me a new set. I wasn't feeling the RASP anymore and was getting annoyed when going WOT. So I asked if I can switch to their HFC's and they more than gladly took my offer. So I decided to stick with the HFC's. I have the Tanabe Y-pipe and Hyper Medallion and it was sick LOUD. Two fix-it tickets in the first 3 weeks.

Ouch, I would get annoyed sooner or later if it sounded louder than my own taste.

Default Hfc

I'm running Random Technology cats with Borla exhaust. Random has excellent fitment. Borla, okay, but nothing close to excellent.
