Default Road noise with Roadster

Anyone with a Roadster who can speak on road noise, wind, baffeling...with the top up @75mph? I pick mine up on Sat. and this has been my only concern. Also, what's the word on the 3m clear-bra? Is it as great as they say? Thanks. Cory

Road noise is verrrry minimal. Travelling at 80+, top down and could talk to the person in the passenger seat without yelling at all. Not much wind buffeting, pretty much just the top of your head. Even the stereo sounded great at high speeds - of course the sweetest music with the top down is that awesome growl !!!

Enjoy!!

I don't have a Z Roadster but had a Miata which has a much quieter exhaust than the Z and with the top up suffered from droning.

The noise with the top up is noticeable, but not annoying. It is a convertible after all. The car does not drone at all. I think you will be very happy with it. Take it for a ride on the freeway with the top up before you sign the papers.

How is the heat, I was wandering as I can hardly run with the windows down around here without feeling the heat from the car come up around the sides, obviously at a standstill.

Did you get the ventilated seats and are they truly air conditioned?

Default Heat

I currently on a Toyota Solara Convirtible - til my Z comes in.

When I drive with windows down only it is HOT
WHen I put the top down it is not as hot as top up windows down - Heat rises and the top pushes it back down.

Heat from the car does not seem to be a problem. The transmission tunnel gets warm to the touch, but the car seems to stay cool with the top down (although if it is too hot outside I turn on the AC - which works well with the top down). I don't have the ventilated seats. As far as I know they were not immediately available. Some time in the fall from what I was told.

Ventilated seats

I think ChromeRoadster is right regarding the ventilated seats. In my search for my black on black roadster, I called many dealers and not one had the ventilated seats coming in with their first batch of cars. It is definitely misleading on the nissanusa website, because they make it seem like the burnt orange leather comes automatically in the ventilated style for no extra charge. If that's true, then maybe the first batch will not have any burnt orange leather seats.

By the way, the chrome silver roadster looks awesome too!

Default engine heat

im glad someone else mentioned the heat...

i notice it especially when i am turning left at low speeds, but also at a standstill. i am amazed how much heat that engine puts out. i'm wondering if they couldn't have routed it somewhere else. seems to come out of the wheel wells. why not under the car instead? oh well. i usually have my a/c blasting which helps to offset it though.
